A forest fire broke out in Leye Village, Township, Alishan, Chiayi County, Taiwan on March 18. The fire spread to the bottom of Alishan Highway on Taiwan Route 18 and near Dabang Highway on County Road 169 , Due to the steep burning area and the long drought and dryness, the fire has been burning for more than 20 hours and has not been extinguished, and the burning area is about 1 hectare.

According to Taiwan media reports, at 9 am on the 19th, it was reported that a forestry department personnel was fighting the fire. Fortunately no problem.

Li Dingzhong, deputy director of the Chiayi Forest Management Office in Taiwan, said that a fire alarm was received at 2:05 pm on March 18. Because the location of the fire was nearly 90 degrees steep, it was difficult for people to reach, and most of them were bamboo forests and grasslands. Quick, the fire is still being put out; the upper part of the fire is on the Alishan Highway. At present, it is controlled not to let the flames go up, and the bottom is the 169 line. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
