led his team to defeat Manchester City 2-0 at home in the 13th round of the Premier League, Liverpool head coach Slott attended the press conference.
Victory in this game
Against Real Madrid, against Manchester City, these are very good teams in the past and present, their coaches have won many trophies, and it is always a pleasure to win in both cases. But the reason these teams win so much is because instead of winning once or twice every now and then, they win every three days. So, we are really happy with these two wins, but we also understand that if we want to achieve more, just one or two wins - even against these big teams - is not enough at the end of the season. Win anything.
Is this the performance of a "potential title winner"
I think if you want to win anything, like I just said, it's less about what you're capable of and more about consistency. There may only be a few teams that can beat Manchester City or Real Madrid once in a while, but it's not a matter of beating them once or twice. If you want to win anything, the key is consistency. These teams - like Real Madrid, like Manchester City, but I watched Arsenal yesterday and I watched Chelsea today - they all have the ability to win in a row like we do, so let's not get carried away because of one or two wins.
Until the end of the season, stability is the key, keeping players healthy and allowing them to keep playing with such energy. As you probably saw today, I only have five defenders available. So there's still a long way to go to win something at the end of the season and there's a lot of challenges to deal with, but the good thing is we have the ability to beat these teams in our own style.
The performance of the first half and whether it was "nearly perfect"
Yes, especially combined with the energy we showed and the energy the crowd gave us. I've had some great moments here as a coach - Wednesday night (beating Real Madrid) was definitely one of them. But I think what stood out today was the energy we showed on the court and the energy the fans gave us. Yeah, then maybe what we all saw was just a 1-0 lead at half-time and we would have liked to see a bigger gap. But I've said it in many interviews, I've watched this game many times... I always make sure I watch it, and it's always a great game. So, maybe for neutral fans, they like to keep the score 1-0 and be nervous until the end of the game. After
