According to the Tsinghua University News Network in 2013, Chen Shinian, a 1951 alumnus of the Department of Electrical Engineering, former counselor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and academician of the International Academy of Astronautics, has remained anonymous for a long time and has made outstanding contributions to the development of my country's missile industry. He said in the interview , I gradually established my outlook on life to contribute to the country in my position as a counselor. Now that I am over eighty years old, I still miss that time all the time.
On February 13, 2018, "People's Daily" published an article titled "Forging a powerful weapon to promote military-civilian integration - A record of the 50-year development of the 17th Institute of the Fourth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry." In February 1968, scientific and technological workers from all over the country gathered in Muxidi, Xicheng District, Beijing to establish the Seventeenth Institute of the Fourth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry (referred to as "Seventeenth Institute"), dedicated to the solid missile control system that the country urgently needs.
