On September 25, the closing ceremony and awards ceremony of the 11th Silk Road International Film Festival was held at Tang Furong Garden in Xi'an. The ten "Golden Silk Road Awards" were announced one by one.
This film festival specially established the "Film Art Lifetime Achievement Award" , aiming to commend filmmakers who have made outstanding contributions to the film industry. The famous director Zhang Yimou won this award.
Zhang Yimou said: "I am very touched to receive this honor in my hometown. I am a native of Xi'an. My father is from Lintong and my mother is from Huyi. I left my hometown 46 years ago and joined the film industry. Just like the Silk Road International Film Festival The concept is the same. Movies are a bridge that connects all those who like movies. The times have given me opportunities and I am fortunate to work in this industry. I will never stop pursuing my dreams and learning.”
