The Yangtze River Chorus Performance is one of the series of activities of the "Meet the Yangtze River" Chorus Week. The teams participating in the performance are all outstanding chorus teams selected nationwide by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The entire performance is divided into three categories: senior group (September 26), adult group (September 27), and children's group (September 28).

9:30, the Hubei Theater Hall was packed, and chorus lovers from all over the province officially welcomed the first (elderly group) performance of the Yangtze River Choral Performance. Thirteen senior choirs from across the country presented a high-level choral music event to the audience.

The Wuhan Veteran Cadre Chorus opened with a shocking song "The Great River Goes East". This piece was composed by Qing Zhu, a famous Chinese musician, while studying in Germany in 1920. Today, 40 years later, when the familiar melody sounds again, people from the Yangtze River Basin and even all over the country are still excited. A vibrant Yangtze River has been running endlessly on the land of the motherland in the long river of history.

The chorus team sang many songs related to the Yangtze River culture. They sang about the infinite attachment to the Yangtze River and their homeland among the children who drink from the same river. The whole performance lasted for two and a half hours and came to a successful conclusion with the song "Flag Flying in the Wind".

It is reported that the "Meet the Yangtze River" Choral Week, as one of the activities of the Yangtze River Culture and Art Season, is sponsored by the Art Department and Public Service Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Propaganda Department of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Hubei Provincial Performing Arts Group, It is organized by the Hubei Provincial Chorus Association, Wuhan Conservatory of Music, Hubei Provincial Cultural Activity Planning Center, and Hubei Provincial Mass Art Museum, and is co-organized by the China Choral Association.
