Huai Opera "Zheng Qiaojiao" is also known as "The Duan" "Bang Ji", originally a series of plays, was very popular with the audience. The play tells the story of Zheng Qiaojiao, who rescues the drowning scholar Gui Zhongbi in a well. Her stepmother Liu falsely accuses her of corrupting the family tradition and instigates Zheng Huai to break her daughter's arm. Fortunately, Zheng Qiaojiao was rescued by Guizhong Bi, and the two fell in love and got engaged. After graduating from Guizhong High School, Zheng Qiaojiao went to Beijing to get married, but the letter of divorce was tampered with by Liu's aunt and nephew. Zheng Qiaojiao left Gui Mansion in despair after receiving the letter, but was abducted by Hua Taisui on the way. At the end of his tour in Guizhong, he patrolled the south of the Yangtze River. He killed Hua Taisui to eliminate the anger of the people, and was convicted and imprisoned. In the prison of Yangzhou Prefecture, the couple settled their differences. Zheng Qiaojiao disguised herself as a man and went to Beijing to complain. Unexpectedly, the mastermind behind the scenes was already watching, and her life hung on the execution ground... He borrowed the free tune from his own Dan opera, and his Dan opera singing has greatly enriched the vocal art of Huai opera and has been widely sung. The inherited version of "Zheng Qiaojiao" stars national first-class actor Chen Lijuan. Chen Lijuan is a disciple of Ma Xiuying, and has appeared in many famous Ma school dramas such as "Exploring the Cold Kiln", "Three Kills in Wu and Han", and "Li Cuilian".

"The biggest difficulty is how to clarify the context. Nearly six hours of drama is condensed into just over two hours. How to preserve the original style of Mapai's famous drama and make today's audience empathize with it without losing the modern style." Script compilation Zhang Yize got the script of "Zheng Qiaojiao" and began to think about it, "We fully respect the original singing structure and retain as much as possible. After trying and rehearsing over and over again, the crew gradually found their rhythm and confidence. Zhang Lei said, "This rehearsal retains Teacher Ma's classic arias, but at the same time restructures the 'Double Law Field' scene and redesigns a aria with a unique Ma style." In "Zheng Qiaojiao", the male and female protagonists not only show their true love for each other and their emotional loyalty, but also expand the righteousness of the characters. Zheng Qiaojiao has become a heroine who has feelings for her family and country. During the rehearsal process, Chen Lijuan and Qiu Haidong, who plays Gui Zhongbi, gradually gained a deeper understanding of the characters. Starring Wang Dandan also said that Liu Ji met his aunt Liu on his way to Beijing. The two had their own hidden agendas, and some "modern jokes" were incorporated into the dialogue, adding a relaxed and humorous atmosphere to the play, which is originally based on bitterness.
