The five movie scripts discussed and promoted at this conference were planned by the Propaganda Department of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and sponsored by "Chinese Writer" magazine and Yunnan Daily Newspaper Group. The creative results of the "Nationally Famous Film and Television Experts Yunnan Style Collection and Creation Activity" hosted by Yunnan.com. After well-known screenwriters and experts in the film and television industry went to Kunming, Pu'er, Xishuangbanna and other places in Yunnan to collect stories, they created a batch of movie scripts with the theme of "Yunnan chapters of Chinese stories and Yunnan voices of beautiful China". These works include "Sea Cafe" by Wang Hailin, Song Fangjin , Damin's "Live Broadcast Group Yunnan Story", Cheng Xiaosi and Peng Chunming's "The Taste of Clouds", Hou Liang and Yan An's " Confession ", "Love in the South of the Clouds" by Xiao Xuchi and Qi Yuan. At the seminar, Wu Yiqin, vice chairman, party group member and secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Writers Association, introduced Yunnan’s profound cultural content and rich film and television resources, and called on film and television experts to be brave enough to try new narrative methods and expression techniques, so that Yunnan-themed movies can achieve new breakthroughs in content and form. Experts attending the meeting had in-depth discussions on the theme conception, character creation, plot design, execution and filming of the script. Participants believed that these five scripts focused on Yunnan and fully demonstrated the charm of Caiyunnan from a unique perspective, with distinctive regional characteristics and clear themes for the new era. The five stories are all realistic themes, delicately and vividly showing the life state and emotional experience of contemporary urban young people, with warmth as the main tone, expressing the pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty. At the same time, experts made many suggestions on story content, character design, theme fit, detail presentation, etc. For example, creators can enrich the script by combining local perspectives, adhering to local characteristics, and fully exploring the characteristics of contemporary love.

The creators of the five scripts said that they will further polish the scripts based on the opinions from this seminar and promotion meeting, make the scripts more complete, and present Yunnan stories in a more vivid and moving way.
