Beijing News (Reporter Liu Zhen) On August 24, the major performance of the 2024 Tianqiao International Musical Show - the concert of musical star John Owen-Jones, concluded successfully at the Beijing Tianqiao Art Center. As the first stop of John Owen-Jones' China tour, for three consecutive nights, the musical star used his unique musical style and superb singing skills to perform nearly 30 classic movements affectionately for more than 4,000 musical theater lovers.
John carefully prepared multiple surprises during his performance in Beijing. One of them is to invite Chinese actor Pan Hangwei, who has a stunning performance in the Chinese version of "Phantom of the Opera", to participate in the performance and jointly present to the audience the classic duet from "Phantom of the Opera" - "all i ask of you" (Chinese name: "Ask for Nothing").

In the encore, John once again joined hands with Pan Hangwei to bring a version of "Phantom of the Theater" that incorporates pipa, erhu, xiao and other folk musical instruments. This is also the first live performance of the specially adapted version of "Phantom of the Theater", a wonderful combination of Chinese and Western The performance was refreshing to the audience.
According to reports, this concert is not only a music feast, but also a long-awaited reunion between John and the Beijing audience. At the beginning of 2020, John performed in China for the first time as one of the "Three Phantoms", joining hands with his friends Earl Carpenter and Jeremy Secomber to perform the "Three Phantoms" concert in Beijing. After four years, John returned again with a solo concert. He cherished this opportunity to meet the Beijing audience from the bottom of his heart.
