August 19, 2024 is the seventh "8·19" Chinese Doctors' Day, with the theme of "Advocating the Humanistic Spirit and Demonstrating the Benevolence of Doctors".
On the same day, the 2024 Shanghai Good Doctor Promotion was directed by the Propaganda Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Civilization Office, sponsored by the Municipal Health Commission and the Municipal Health System Spiritual Civilization Construction Committee, and co-organized by Liberation Daily and Shanghai Shangyi Medical Workers Award Foundation. In the commendation meeting, 20 people including Wang Yi from the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, Shi Hongcheng from Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, Zhao Ren from Ruijin Hospital, and Zhao Chongbo from Huashan Hospital were awarded "Shanghai Good Doctors"; Che Wenliang from Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital, Zhongfuhui International Ten people including Zhang Jian from Heping Maternal and Child Health Hospital and Mo Wen from Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine won the nomination award. After review and screening, the best of the best were selected, and a total of 20 "Shanghai Good Doctors" and 10 nominations were selected for 2024. Among the 20 "Shanghai Good Doctors" in 2024, there are doctors from tertiary hospitals, doctors from regional medical centers and doctors from community health services.

Some of them specialize in rare neuromyopathies, continue to improve their professional capabilities, optimize treatment plans, extend outpatient hours, and become stable "medical support" for patients; some lead a team to build the largest diagnosis and treatment center for difficult and complex esophageal diseases in the country , established a special disease database for esophageal cancer, and took the lead in formulating multiple international expert consensuses; some were the first to propose innovative optimization plans for neoadjuvant treatment of breast cancer in the world, clarifying the condition in the most popular language, and allowing patients to put down their worries; Some have been involved in ophthalmology for 41 years, creating the first remote screening system for diabetic retinopathy and formulating national standards; some have focused on the diagnosis and treatment of urological tumors for more than 30 years, with more than 10,000 individual surgeries, ranking first in the country, and leading a team on prostate cancer The number of cancer operations has led Shanghai for seven consecutive years; it has treated more than 30,000 patients in total for 27 years, and has brought dying patients back from death countless times...
During this Doctors' Day, Shanghai Center, Window on the Bund, The Aurora International Building, the Magnolia Plaza on the North Bund, the LED advertising screens on the exterior walls of the Port Building and the LED light boxes at Lujiazui Oriental Pearl Plaza will all be lit up.
