There are not only the long-performed Erzhuan classic "Couples Visiting the Door", as well as classic excerpts such as "Listening to the Musical Instruments in the West Chamber" and "Water Over the Blue Bridge", but also "Nine Tunes and Eighteen Tune" that showcases the artistic characteristics of Erzhuan, as well as historical performances. Themes include single-player "Zhaojun Leaving the Fortress" and "Village Artist" and other dramas with practical educational significance. There are also outstanding two-person works such as "Yunling Red Plum" and "Shoudao Couple's Whistle" that pay tribute to moral models. The whole performance combines historical and realistic themes, and combines traditional classics with new innovations.
