On July 13, Suzhou held a low-altitude economic salon event called "Sail at Low Altitude to Create and Enjoy the Future" and released the country's first local "Low-Altitude Air Traffic Rules" (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules") to empower the development of the low-altitude economy.
The "Rules" were researched and formulated by the Suzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau in conjunction with professional scientific research institutions. They follow Suzhou's low-altitude economic development policy of "rules first, scenario traction, market orientation, technical support, and safety first". There are 8 chapters and 37 items in total. It mainly stipulates low-altitude air traffic rules from the aspects of service management, operation management, airspace management, flight activity management, flight support, etc.
The "Rules" focus on user needs and establish a service guarantee mechanism. Suzhou City assumes the responsibility for collaborative management of low-altitude airspace. Through the low-altitude flight service management agency and the municipal low-altitude service management platform, Suzhou has formed a concise and efficient "unified acceptance, full service" mechanism to provide airspace users with convenient and fast professional services.
The "Rules" will be implemented on September 1, 2024, and will provide professional one-stop services for low-altitude enterprises to better ensure flight safety, public safety and national security, so that low-altitude enterprises can not only fly , and fly safely and efficiently.
