According to the Voice of the Greater Bay Area: The Hong Kong Observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 34.6°C today (5th), breaking the hottest record in Hong Kong this year.

The Observatory stated that extremely hot and high-temperature weather will continue. Citizens are advised to pay attention to their health, drink more water and take adequate measures to prevent heatstroke. Avoid strenuous exercise outdoors. The previous highest temperature record was 34°C recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory on June 21, which also tied the highest temperature recorded at the summer solstice in 1980.
