During the first China Chongqing Science and Technology Film Week, Yongchuan, together with Chongqing University and Sichuan International Studies University, jointly launched the "Young Filmmaker Support Plan", aiming to create a youthful and energetic film industry through school-local cooperation, policy publicity, project roadshows, creative training, etc. A nationally influential platform for the growth of filmmakers, with the aim of discovering and encouraging more young people with creative potential, and discovering and incubating more wonderful and creative masterpieces.
The launch ceremony of the Youth Filmmaker Support Plan was held that day, the press release, opening and film solicitation channel of the 6th Chongqing Pioneer Art Film Exhibition, the introduction and launch ceremony of the 11th Chongqing Youth Film Exhibition, keynote speeches by industry experts, youth Filmmakers’ creation support exchange meetings, and young filmmakers’ “Pioneer Action” support project roadshows and other activities. Among them, the "Pioneer Action" support project for young filmmakers brought together 10 groups of young film creators from domestic universities to complete a 5-15 minute short film project plan and script within 10 days. After layers of selection, the shortlisted works and teams were invited to attend the event in person, where they conducted project roadshows and displayed their creative results. Not only that, teams with outstanding performance will also use the high-end technical resources of Yongchuan Technology Film and Television Industry to complete the filming of their works, and receive further exposure and career development support in the industry.
Chongqing Pioneer Art Film Exhibition and Chongqing Youth Film Exhibition both originated from two universities in Chongqing. The Chongqing Pioneer Art Film Festival originated from the Meishi Film School of Chongqing University. The film festival aims to discover and support young art film talents, promote the development of art films, encourage the creation of outstanding art films at home and abroad, and incubate high-quality art film projects. After being held for five times, the film festival has become one of the largest film selection, screening and exchange activities in Chongqing and the most influential in Southwest China. Chongqing Youth Film Exhibition, led by the School of Journalism and Communication of Sichuan International Studies University, aims to encourage filmmakers to better express themselves, participate in artistic creation, and help the development and promotion of high-quality films.Since 2014, the film festival has been successfully held for ten times, carrying out international film and television project exchanges with 26 countries and regions, linking more than 100 universities around the world, organizing a series of more than 850 film and television cultural activities, screening more than 1,000 domestic and foreign films, and online With more than 500,000 offline participants and over 280 million online participants, it is one of the largest and most influential comprehensive and professional film festivals in the western region. It has greatly prospered the local film market and boosted young film talents. growth and success. In 2022, Sichuan International Studies University will join forces with Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Commission, iFlytek, Jiazuo Media and other government, school and enterprise resources to jointly build the International Film and Television Industry Academy and the Western Film and Television Translation Center, pioneering intelligent duplication and promoting nearly 20 high-quality Chinese films and televisions. The work was launched in Latin America, using the light of science and technology to fulfill the historical mission of international communication of Chinese film and television.
