Among Lai Shengchuan's many works, there is one that hopes to use theater to record history, and that is "Treasure Island Village". In 2008, "Treasure Island Village" was premiered for the first time. Since this year, "Treasure Island Village" has traveled all over the world and moved countless audiences. When "Treasure Island Village" was staged in Guangzhou in 2010, Lai Shengchuan still has fresh memories, "There were also first-generation military villagers watching the show at the scene. The feeling was indescribable, because we were telling their stories. "
This year is the 16th year of "Treasure Island Village". There is a group of people who have been in this big family. They are the three male protagonists in the play-Qu Zhongheng, Feng Yigang and Song Shaoqing. "Our three families No parent can say 'no acting'. "What is surprising is that this time, the stage of "Treasure Island Village" not only has the original cast members, but also the injection of fresh energy, and more and more young people have joined. The military village family. Si Wen, Feng Yugang and others, outstanding young actors from Shanghai Opera Troupe who have been trained by Lai Shengchuan for eight years, will play the leading role.
In "Treasure Island Village", a group of people from all over the world moved into a military village due to the influence of the times and environment. They originally thought that this was just a short-term sojourn, but they gradually discovered that the day to return home was far away. From leaving home, being homesick, wanting to go home, to finally accepting "this is home", they performed a life story filled with laughter and tears. The military village is where Wang Weizhong, the screenwriter of "Treasure Island Village", lived when he was a child. The stories in the play are all real experiences he heard from the previous generation.
When the military dependents' village was to be demolished in 2005, Wang Weizhong found Lai Shengchuan, and together they collected hundreds of stories from 25 families, which were finally condensed into the three families in "Treasure Island One Village" today. Many of the actors in the play are "children of military dependents villages". What they tell are the stories of their relatives. The migrations they have experienced are now performed by themselves on stage again and again, and the emotions are even more touching.
