For example, in Wang Qinian's home, the scene where Fan Xian is alone with Wang Qinian's wife and daughter seems to have no help in promoting the plot, but it takes up almost half of the first episode.
This plot only tells the audience two things. One is that Wang Qinian's daughter is very cute and smart, and the other is that Wang Qinian's wife is very strong.
Fan Xian in the first season was a man who was unwilling to kneel before Emperor Qing, and a man who had no fear in front of the eldest princess. How come in the second season, Wang Qinian’s wife knocked on the table and he was frightened? Do you have to kneel down?
This plot feels like it is completely meant to be funny, but in fact it is not funny at all, and it also makes Fan Xian's character inconsistent.

Not only the young characters are all funny, but the older generation of actors are also the same. For example, when Chen Pingping went to meet Emperor Qing, it felt like they were always making jokes, which was completely different from the way the two got along in the first season.
In fact, if the second season of "Celebrating More Than Years" really turns into a comedy, then the comedian in the show will definitely be the most comfortable in performing, and the only one who can be considered a comedian in this show is who plays Wang Qinian. Tian Yu and Guo Qilin who played Fan Sizhe.
In the original work, Wang Qinian is said to be Fan Xian's admirer, but in fact he doesn't have many roles. After Fan Xian went to Northern Qi to rescue Yan Bingyun, Wang Qinian was left in Northern Qi to take over Yan Bingyun's position. In the original work, the plot of Baoyue Tower is very important and exciting. This plot introduces the two important characters of the third prince and Sang Wen, and leads to Fan Sizhe's departure to the Northern Qi Dynasty, and Fan Xian's formal war with the second prince.
However, after the TV series was adapted, a lot of conflicts were deleted and a lot of comedy performances were added. Fan Sizhe and the third prince were unaware of the evil deeds in Baoyue Tower. In the Baoyue Tower scene, Fan Sizhe’s best performance is undoubtedly Fan Sizhe’s.
