China Film Huateng (Beijing) Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd. believes that the film has a lot of similarities in the plot and other aspects of the work created by itself, which constitutes copyright infringement, so the director and producer of the film sued the court to claim 50 million yuan. Today (November 11), the Beijing Intellectual Property Court announced that it had accepted the case.

China Film Huateng (Beijing) Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd. sued that it enjoyed the copyright of the "Five-Dimensional Memory" script and stage play. Since the creation of the work, it has been publicly promoted and exhibited.

The plaintiff claimed that "Nezha's Devil Boy Comes to the World", jointly produced by Yang as the screenwriter and director and Beijing Guangguang Film Co., Ltd., has the same character design, storyline and production elements as the plaintiff's work "Five Dimensions". "Memory" has a lot of similarities or similarities, infringing the plaintiff's right to adapt, copy and distribute the work. The

plaintiff stated that on August 22, 2019, it held a press conference to publicly explain the above-mentioned matters and issued the "Lawyer Statement". None of the defendants responded positively, but the plaintiff and the chief creative personnel suffered cyber violence and reputation infringement and continued to date. The defendant obtained huge profits due to the infringement, but the plaintiff bears huge public opinion pressure and rights maintenance costs for this.

So the plaintiff went to the Beijing Intellectual Property Court to order the six defendants to immediately stop the infringement, publish a statement to eliminate the impact, jointly compensate 50 million yuan in economic losses and bear a reasonable cost of 1 million yuan.

Beijing Intellectual Property Court accepted the case today, and the case is under further trial.
