1905 Movie Network News On February 20, Disney+ announced some Korean dramas that will be launched in 2024, including the highly anticipated "Uncle Samsik". The drama is directed and written by director Shin Yeon-sik of "Actors Are Actors", "Cassiopeia" and "1 Win". He will team up with Song Kang-ho for the third time. This is also the first TV drama that Song Kang-ho has starred in in the 33 years since his debut.
The plot is set in the turbulent 1960s in South Korea. It tells the story of Uncle Sam-sik (played by Song Kang-ho), who must eat three meals a day during the war, and Jin San, an elite young man who wants to create a country where everyone can have enough food and live a prosperous life. (played by Byun Yo-han) met and realized their dreams together. Lee Kyu-hyung, Chin Ki-joo, and Seo Hyun-woo will also star, jointly interpreting the story about dreams and life in the great era.
