Lotte said in her award speech: "Mr. Jidi Maga is one of the most representative and influential poets in contemporary China. His poems have been translated into more than 40 languages since the 1990s and have been published in more than 50 countries. More than 100 versions of translated poetry collections have been published in several countries. The overseas spread and influence of Jidi Maga's poetry has provided an important basis and reference for understanding contemporary Chinese culture. The originality and exploratory perspective of modern poetry have given the world a unique voice of Chinese poets." Jidi Maga said in his acceptance speech that poetry is the highest form of language, and it not only provides the possibility for the creation of new languages. More importantly, what it offers to humanity will always be the most fascinating part of the world’s different languages.
It is reported that the China (Taiwan) Literary and Art Association Literary Medal has been successfully held for 65 times. Famous poets Yu Guangzhong, Luo Luofu, Zheng Chouyu, Xi Murong, Wan Xian, etc. have all won the Lifetime Achievement Award in the poetry category of the medal.
The organizer stated that this event further strengthened exchanges and cooperation between the literary and artistic circles on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, enhanced understanding and friendship between the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and helped promote the prosperity and development of Chinese culture.
