“Seeing the lion dance and rolling lantern performances at such a close distance, I feel that these people who inherit the intangible cultural heritage skills are particularly amazing. It’s like seeing the scenes in the movie “Once Upon a Time” in real life.” This is the first time for citizen Aunt Xu It was particularly shocking to see the exchange between the two intangible cultural heritages of rolling lanterns and lion dance.
The lion awakening culture has a long history. As an excellent traditional culture in southern Guangdong, it continues the cultural blood of this land and the national spirit of loyalty, benevolence, and bravery. Fengxian Rolling Lantern, with a history of more than 700 years, is a national intangible cultural heritage item and is also known as "China's Unique". At the scene, the lion dance combined with Fengxian's rolling lanterns and Zhuangxing's small green dragon's special performances were sometimes in the theater hall and sometimes on the spiral staircase, surprising the audience "once in a while". There were children running after the dragon's tail, and there were also young ladies wearing Chinese-style costumes who came to check in and pose repeatedly to record this rare moment.
Xu Siyan, the national representative inheritor of Fengxian rolling lanterns, said: "The dialogue between the rolling lanterns and the Zhuangxing Xiaoqinglong as a national intangible cultural heritage in Lingnan represents the inclusiveness of all rivers."
