Drama Development Forum focuses on "promoting the high-quality development of the film and television industry with new productivity". Li Xingwen, the founder of "Film and Television Single Tongue", serves as the moderator of this forum. Teng Yong, deputy director of the Radio and Television Planning Institute of the State Administration of Radio and Television, and Li Jingsheng, vice president of the China Federation of Radio and Television Social Organizations, were invited to attend this forum and delivered speeches titled "Integrity and Innovation Shine on the Screen - Insights on the Ratings of CVB TV Series" and Keynote speech on "2024: Interpretation of the Ten Keywords for the Development of Chinese TV Dramas". roundtable dialogue session focused on the two core issues of the drama industry - creation to demonstrate cultural confidence and technological innovation to optimize content supply. The guests discussed the changes in the film and television industry in the digital era and proposed innovations and innovations in different types of dramas. Experiments include long and short dramas, vertical themes and micro-short dramas, etc., while demonstrating the film and television industry's efforts in integrating innovation and tradition. In 2023, the association successfully held its annual meeting for the first time and launched a high-quality drama recommendation activity, which received an enthusiastic response. This year, the association continued to hold the annual meeting at the spring promotion meeting. Based on member suggestions and market feedback, the recommendation activities were optimized and upgraded. Through data/invitation of member units and platform voting/expert review, a total of 46 works were selected from nearly 300 works. This excellent work won 5 honors of the year: "Special Contribution Drama Series", "Ingenious Drama Series of the Year", "Quality Drama Series of the Year", "Excellent Drama Series of the Year" and "Short Drama Noteworthy of the Year". Many outstanding drama series including "Lotus Tower", "Ask the Heart" and "Flowers" have won awards.
It is worth mentioning that this annual meeting recommends a new micro-short drama unit to keep up with new changes in industry creation. Many leadership experts, scholars, and industry leaders gathered together to award honors to the outstanding works of the past year. The 46 dramas recommended this year use delicate brushwork and deep emotions to show the face of life and the brilliance of human nature in different eras. It not only recalls the glory and hardships of the past, but also vividly displays the new look, new atmosphere, and new achievements of the new era. The association actively discovers and cultivates outstanding works, and encourages colleagues in the industry to continuously pursue excellence and improve creative standards through the recommendation of excellent works.
