The first phase of the "New Light and Shadow-Mainland Market Focus Expansion Plan" funded by the Hong Kong Film Development Fund, organized by the Hong Kong Performing Arts Mainland Development Association, and co-organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, recently opened in Guangzhou. On March 24, students came to the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Guangdong Filmmakers Association to participate in the special lecture "Future Movies in the Artificial Intelligence Era" delivered by Professor Sun Lijun, Vice President of the Beijing Film Academy and President of the China Animation Research Institute.

The Hong Kong Performing Arts Mainland Development Association was established in 2018. The founding members include President Jackie Chan , Executive President Eric Tsang , Vice President Wang Mingquan , Alan Tam , etc., through the resources and influence of the members , to help Hong Kong industries connect with mainland resources and strengthen communication and cooperation between industries in the two places. The association's secretary-general Wang Zulan revealed that the first phase of the "New Light and Shadow-Mainland Market Focus Expansion Plan" recruited 30 behind-the-scenes practitioners in the Hong Kong entertainment industry to participate, with the goal of "reading more, watching more and doing more". He said: "Read more, that is, attend courses every day, so that we can have a better understanding and analysis of the mainland market; read more, for example, we visited the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Nansha, and Pearl Film Festival to see the behind-the-scenes exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland.
