Hong Kong’s m+ cinema announced that it will launch spring programs from March to June 2024. This program will be a marathon screening of Wong Kar-wai's "The Sixties Trilogy" (" Days of Being Wild", " In the Mood for Love ", "2046"), and will co-organize three programs with the Hong Kong International Film Festival. For decades, Canadian photographer Greg Gillard has left many unforgettable images of Hong Kong. m+ will host the first "Asian Avant-Garde Film Festival" from May 30 to June 2, 2024. The four-day film festival will highlight the outstanding moving image practices of individuals and film communities over the past six decades, which have shaped the rich artistic landscape of Asia. The festival brings together independent art and filmmaking groups from across Asia, focusing on forward-thinking creators. A series of exciting screenings, performances, lectures and workshops will be held during the festival, including guided tours of the exhibitions "Apichatpong Weerasethakhu: Primitive" and "The Sound of Mountains and Waters".Details about the festival and ticketing information will be announced in April.
