Webmaster’s Home (chinaz.com) March 4 News: Elon Musk filed a lawsuit on Thursday evening against openai, a generative artificial intelligence company he co-founded ten years ago. According to the latest reports, OpenAI responded quickly on Friday night, sending a memo to employees that refuted Musk’s accusations in detail and revealed the real motivation behind its lawsuit.
Musk clearly pointed out in the lawsuit documents submitted that openai violated its original agreement as a non-profit organization and no longer focused on developing generative artificial intelligence products such as chatgpt.
However, openai firmly denied this. According to CNBC, OpenAI chief strategy officer Jason Kwon said in a memo sent to employees on Friday that he believed Musk’s lawsuit was entirely motivated by personal grudges: “We believe the reason behind the lawsuit may be that Elon regrets not continuing to participate in the development of the company. … It’s extremely disappointing to see Elon take such action against a company he helped found, especially given that he has worked so closely with those of you who are still fighting for this mission.”
