"Hometown" is another dialect drama launched by the Henan Song and Dance Performing Group Folk Art Troupe that focuses on the lives of ordinary people and reflects the humanistic spirit of the Central Plains. It is the third part of the "Three Elders" ("Old Tang", "Old Street" and "Hometown") trilogy. The final piece.
The play has a strong creative lineup, bringing together outstanding artists from Beijing and Henan: the screenwriter is Wang Hong, the former director of the General Political Repertory Theater and a national first-level screenwriter, directed by the national first-level director Gong Xiaodong, and the famous composer Fang Ke from Henan Jie, Chen Limin, vice chairman of the Henan Musicians Association, and Chen Shengli, the national non-genetic person of Henan Zhuizi, are jointly responsible for the music creation of the entire play. Fan Jun, vice chairman of the Chinese Quyi Artists Association and chairman of the Henan Quyi Artists Association, stars in the show, which was created and arranged by the Henan Quyi Troupe.
"Hometown" focuses on the lives of ordinary people. The story takes place at the junction of urban and rural areas in Zhengzhou City. The clue that Mr. Fan (played by Fan Jun) lost his grandson due to his addiction to singing pendants runs through the whole drama. The story is based on the landlord. The story between Mr. Fan and the tenants from all over the world is the main line, telling the life stories of this group of ordinary people with different identities, temperaments, and demands. They shared joys and sorrows, and wrote about the kindness and simplicity of the Henan people, as well as the great love of the Central Plains people, allowing the audience to feel the warmth of humanity and the warmth of their hometown.
