The movie " Article 20 " directed by Zhang Yimou is currently in theaters. The film performed well at the box office and continued to rank fourth in the same period. On the first day of the new year, I did some film review analysis of this movie. I thought that if the movie is placed during the Spring Festival period for family fun, the box office will definitely be affected due to several "unsuitable for children" content, but this is not a movie. The problem itself, the problem with the movie itself, is that there are many things in its narrative logic that cannot be justified.
After this article was published, I saw some very "strange" comments. For example, I think this movie review of mine is just my personal opinion. "It" represents the fans' opinion that this movie is excellent and everyone should hurry up and watch it. For another example, many "accounts" left messages saying that this movie is family-friendly and suitable for watching with children. It has no content that is inappropriate for children and everyone should hurry up and watch it.
I simply think that these comments are posted voluntarily by fans who have actually watched the movie, and they are "tap water" behavior towards the film. While some movie fans are helping to market the movie consciously, I believe that there should be a basic bottom line in movie marketing. We cannot insist on saying that it is family fun and turn a blind eye to a movie that is inappropriate for children even though it is clearly inappropriate for children. Is it difficult to admit that Article 20 is not suitable for children?
I already explained my personal opinion in my first review of the film - any film critic can only explain his personal opinion, this is common sense - there are three things in this movie that are not suitable for children, the first two are relatively minor. Light, the third part is the heaviest. In the first two scenes, one is where the bus driver is suddenly hit and killed, and the other is where the character played by Zhao Liying jumps off a building and hits the roof of the car directly, with full special effects and sound. If you look at these two scenes of
according to the movie rating, they should be at the level where parents can watch it with supervision. If it weren't for emphasizing that the emotional control of the movie should be maximized, then the scene where Zhao Liying's character jumps off the building could have reduced the special effects and sound to zero. Director Zhang Yimou is good at using camera language to arouse the emotions of movie fans, so there are these two "sudden moments".
The third aspect that is not suitable for children is that the village gangsters tied up Da Pan's character like a dog, and then violently hurt and sexually humiliated Zhao Liying's character in front of him. From the perspective of stimulating movie emotions, this kind of content is of course clever and can easily arouse the emotions of movie fans. Similar examples also appeared in another Spring Festival movie "Manjianghong" directed by Zhang Yimou.
and even " Jinling Thirteen Beauties ", a work directed by Zhang Yimou, also "makes a fuss" about women. Focusing on this kind of insult and damage to women, especially the double insult and damage of both mental and physical bodies, the movie scenes can quickly create emotional stimulation for movie fans. Director Zhang Yimou uses this kind of trick to stimulate movie fans, and it works every time.
However, I think that this kind of stimulation should not be used to harm the minds and bodies of underage viewers. This is one of the main reasons why I say "Article 20" is not suitable for children. If the first two places are just violent visual stimulation of the eyeballs, then the third place is the spiritual stimulation related to sex. Have we prepared the minds of underage audiences so that they can withstand this kind of stimulation?
This kind of spiritual construction needs to be completed by parents. Of course, it can also be completed with the help of schools or other social organizations. After the underage viewers watch "Article 20", what kind of spiritual construction work should we do for them? This is the most appropriate answer for those who say that Article 20 is not inappropriate for children. If they say that there is no need for spiritual construction, it just means that the psychological damage this movie may cause to minors is obvious.
Not suitable for children cannot simply be interpreted as meaning that young movie fans cannot watch it, but should be interpreted as meaning that young viewers watch with the company of their parents. After encountering uncomfortable content, parents can answer questions for the underage viewers and educate them. Carry out the correct psychological construction. However, speaking at the moment, how many of our parents have the ability to effectively psychologically build their children?
Faced with the third irritating content that director Zhang Yimou presented in "Article 20", what I am most worried about is that it will leave a shadow on underage movie fans. For male underage movie fans, after watching this content, will they tend to be violent in all things between men and women when they grow up, and ignore, model and ignore the normal psychological appeal of women? For female underage movie fans, will watching this content directly affect them, causing them to be afraid of their spouses and this kind of lifestyle when they have normal physiological demands as adults?
If we have a reasonable mental construction before or after watching this movie, these two shadows will not breed. For example, we adult viewers, especially those who have already formed a family and have a harmonious married life, know very well that in a married life, women must be respected and women's wishes must be the greatest premise. We have already had this kind of psychological construction. content, so we are not afraid of such irritating content in the film. We have the ability to resist this stimulus.
But what about underage viewers? They are not yet adults, have not yet formally established this resistance ability, and have no reasonable psychological construction. The movie is exciting, but what happens after the excitement? Should adult parent audiences pay attention to the psychological development of minors?
Therefore, I think that it is imperative to admit that "Article 20" is not suitable for children and to help underage viewers to make corresponding psychological construction, instead of shouting that this movie is family fun and suitable for children, and it is also a movie The bottom line of marketing requires it.
