According to earlier reports: On January 9, NavInfo announced that it had recently received the "Beijing Higher People's Court Civil Judgment" against the company against Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology Co., Ltd. and Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Baidu Cloud Computing Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. made a final judgment in the case of copyright infringement and unfair competition disputes. The final judgment was: the appeal was dismissed and the original judgment was upheld.
This also means that Baidu needs to compensate NavInfo for economic losses of more than 60 million yuan within 10 days.
At that time, Baidu responded that after the contract between Baidu Maps and NavInfo was terminated in 2016, it used self-collected data, not the other party’s data. In response to the verdict, Baidu will apply to the Supreme People's Court for a retrial to safeguard its legitimate interests. At the same time, Baidu has also launched a lawsuit against NavInfo for infringement of Baidu Map copyright and unfair competition.
