On the night of the Lunar New Year on February 2, the 2024 Chaoyang People’s Spring Festival Gala was staged at the Chaoyang District Cultural Center. The wonderful cultural feast opened the rich flavor of the Chaoyang Year.
This gala is the first People's Spring Festival Gala in Chaoyang District. With the theme of "Beautiful Chaoyang, Happy Life", it highlights the three key words of celebration, fashion and sentiment for the people, and shows the achievements of the prosperous "Five Yis" Chaoyang construction.
The program of the entire party was rich in content and in various forms, including music, dance, sketches, operas, recitations, magic, etc., creating a happy, auspicious and jubilant atmosphere to welcome the New Year, and presenting a cultural feast to citizens and friends.
This Chaoyang People’s Spring Festival Gala takes building a traditional festival cultural brand as the starting point. The participants highlight the common people as the protagonists. The content focuses on co-construction, sharing and win-win, and strives to create a festival cultural symbol that is commonly remembered by Chaoyang people. The 450 performers come from Chaoyang District's grassroots literary and art teams, professional art troupes in the district, cultural institutions in the district, model representatives and role models at all levels, cultural volunteers, etc., ranging in age from 7 to 80 years old. The vast majority of them are representatives of Chaoyang District’s outstanding grassroots literary and artistic teams and workers from all walks of life, and they also include well-known artistic talents who have been active in Chaoyang District’s cultural service stage for benefiting the people for a long time.
Letting the people's voices be heard directly is the focus of the careful planning of this party. The "New Year's Blessings from Chaoyang" played at the event was sent through the big screen by representatives from all walks of life and people working hard in Chaoyang District. Everyone talked about the beautiful Chaoyang in their hearts, sent sincere New Year blessings, and jointly expressed their wish for a happy tomorrow. Let people feel the cohesion of the people in Chaoyang. Many role models from various industries were invited to the scene, representing the millions of people in the region who work hard and pursue a better life.
Many original works with distinctive Chaoyang elements were unveiled, such as the original song "Liangma River" written and composed by the famous musician Xiaoke , which vividly demonstrated the process of "promoting urban renewal through river revitalization" in Chaoyang District. Azi, the author of "Reading China" and a famous poet, carefully created "Reading the Morning Sun" for this evening party, leading people to appreciate the various forms, vitality and openness of the rising sun. The original song "Mild Fire" by the District Xuanwen Center sings about the dedication and struggle of tens of millions of Chaoyang people.
This evening party will be broadcast on February 4 through online platforms such as the National Public Culture Cloud, Beijing Cultural Life, Beijing Digital Culture Center, Beijing Chaoyang, and Chaoyang Publicity and Culture Service Platform.
