This special band is called the "Star Dream" Wind Band. It was established in 2017. They play 7 instruments including trumpet, trombone, French horn, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and percussion, and together form a standard simplified wind orchestra.

This performance is the band’s first special performance since its establishment. Chen Xufei, the leader of the wind band, said that three years ago, they came up with the idea of holding a concert, hoping to provide students with an opportunity to show themselves and improve their self-confidence.

How to learn music? The birth of the

orchestra actually originated from a charity performance performed by the Xiamen Dunshan Symphonic Wind Orchestra to a special education school.

After the performance, the children saw various brass instruments and gathered around them. Chen Shayin, the principal of Xiamen Special Education School, saw the curiosity and enthusiasm in the children's eyes and asked the orchestra: Can the children be taught musical instruments?
