China News Service, Nanning, January 17 (Yu Jing) "Stars and Sea" 2024 Nanning New Year Concert was held at the Guangxi Cultural and Art Center on the evening of the 17th . Chinese and Vietnamese singers sang on the same stage, promoting friendship with their voices and sending New Year blessings to the audience.

The concert kicked off with the orchestral music "Dance of the Golden Snake". The well-known singer Sun Li sang the songs "Sentimental Land" and "The Sea, My Hometown" to express his love for the motherland. The folk song "Happy Lou" with unique Zhuang characteristics "Liao Luo" sings the happy life of the people in Zhuang Township.

Vietnamese singer Do Thi Thanh Hua, dressed in traditional Vietnamese "Ao Dai" costume, performed the song "True Love Leap Together" in Vietnamese with Chinese singer Xiong Lei, singing the friendship between China and Vietnam and winning warm applause from the audience.

Du Shiqinghua has a deep connection with Guangxi. She loved singing since she was a child. She once studied at Guangxi Art Institute as an international student and loved Chinese folk songs. This time she returns to Nanning to sing after five years, which makes her very excited as she is "crazy in love". Do Thi Thanh Hoa expressed her hope that this kind of event would be held regularly and she would like to be a cultural exchange ambassador between Vietnam and China to convey love through songs and enhance the friendship between the two countries.

The New Year's concert was hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Nanning Municipal Party Committee and the Nanning Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting and Tourism. It was themed "Stars and Sea" and was conducted by the famous conductor Li Xincao. Sun Li, Chang Sisi, Xiong Lei and other well-known Singer and musician Zhao Yu, young Vietnamese singer Do Thi Thanh Hua, and the Nanning Yue Choir jointly performed with the China Symphony Orchestra.
