The case was pronounced in the first instance by the Intermediate Court of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province on September 18, 2023. After trial, it was found that the defendant Yu Huaying, together with Gong Mouliang (deceased), abducted and trafficked a total of 11 children in Guizhou Province, Chongqing City and other places from 1993 to 1996. His behavior has constituted the crime of child trafficking. The crime is particularly serious and extremely harmful to society and should be severely punished. Defendant Yu Huaying was sentenced to death at first instance for child abduction, deprived of political rights for life, and confiscated all personal property. The defendant Yu Huaying appealed in court.
On November 28, 2023, the second instance of the case was held. After the trial, the procuratorial organ found that the appellant Yu Huaying was also suspected of abducting children in Yunnan Province after a preliminary investigation by the public security organs, and the omitted crimes were not dealt with. This is a comprehensive and comprehensive case. To combat crime accurately and effectively and protect the defendant's right to appeal in accordance with the law, it is recommended that this case be remanded for retrial.

Yang Niuhua was born in Zhijin County, Guizhou Province in 1990, and then came to Guiyang to live with her parents and sister. Yang Niuhua remembered her abduction experience. They often came to our house to borrow dishes and chopsticks and talked to us. After we got acquainted with each other, she set the time for my parents to go to work. As soon as my parents left the house, she took me away and never sent me back. She took the green leather train from Guizhou and sold me to Hebei. Handan."

According to media reports, Yang Niuhua was adopted as a daughter by a deaf-mute man and changed her name to Li Suyan. Yang Niuhua started searching for her relatives in 2012. It was not until May 2021 that Yang Niuhua's video of searching for her relatives was seen by her cousin in her hometown in Guizhou. She returned home after being abducted for 26 years. But Yang Niuhua later learned that her parents who loved her had passed away in 1997 and 1998 because they blamed themselves and were too sad after she was abducted. They were both in their thirties at the time. Yang Niuhua's sister Yang Sangying was orphaned at the age of 11 and went out to work at the age of 13. Yang Niuhua always remembered the information about the human trafficker who abducted her. In 2022, she approached the Guiyang police and provided clues. After that, the Guiyang police arrested the human trafficker Yu Huaying.
Yang Niuhua said that as a victim, she hopes that Yu Huaying will be sentenced as early as possible, and she hopes that during the second investigation, More abducted children can be rescued.
