A few days ago, Zhidian Travel obtained a set of spy photos of the road test of the new generation of Mercedes-Benz CLA model. The new car is currently undergoing intense testing on overseas roads, and it is planned to make its debut in the first half of 2024, and it will go on sale before the end of the same year. It is reported that Mercedes-Benz's third-generation CLA model will be jointly developed and built with Geely Automobile, and a hybrid version and a pure electric version will be launched simultaneously for consumers to purchase.
According to previous interviews with foreign media, Mercedes-Benz executives said that the brand will still retain the internal combustion engine and make every effort to meet the EURO 7 emission regulations. The new generation of Mercedes-Benz engines will also be researched and developed by partner Geely Automobile. At the same time, this also indicates that Mercedes-Benz's third-generation CLA model may start production in China for the first time next year, and the price of its new car will also be partially lowered compared with the overseas version.
In terms of power, the Mercedes-Benz new-generation CLA fuel version will be equipped with a new-generation plug-in hybrid engine built by Geely Automobile. In addition, the new car will also debut its pure electric version at the end of 2024. It is planned to go on sale in 2025. The model is based on the new "MMA" platform and is driven by front and rear dual motors. It is equipped with BYD's same lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of up to 100kW h. The maximum cruising range can reach 850km.
