Recently, the 3rd "Most Beautiful Towns and Rural Revitalization" Forum sponsored by the Most Beautiful Towns Branch of China Tourism Association was successfully held in Dali, Yunnan Province. The Kuanshan Town, Cangbu Street, Xinzhou District, Wuhan City was selected as the Most Beautiful Towns Branch of China Tourism Association member unit.
Kuoshan Town is located in the central community of Kuoshan in the north section of Cangbu Street. It is adjacent to the 230 National Road on the east side. The 109 Provincial Road and the 318 National Road pass through the town vertically and horizontally. It is about 50 kilometers away from the central city of Wuhan. The location has significant transportation advantages. Kuoshan Town includes 4 administrative villages: Kuoshan, Xiangshan, Sanshan Village and Taogang Village, with a population of more than 10,000 people. The overall planning area is 17,000 mu, and the core area is 2,500 mu. In 2017, it was selected into the list of the first batch of "Ecological Characteristic Towns" created by the Wuhan Municipal Construction Committee. In 2018, it was selected into the list of "Beautiful and Livable Villages" in Hubei Province.
Zhou Tianping, a resident of the mountain town on Cangbu Street, told reporters: "Ten years ago, our hometown was a barren mountain, and the houses where the residents lived were dilapidated. Ten years later, through the construction of beautiful villages, our hometown has undergone tremendous changes, and the residents' life happiness index has been greatly improved. Residents have a stage for dancing, fitness equipment, and they can also work nearby, and their pockets are bulging. There are also more bankbooks. Our hometown will become better and more prosperous.”
