On Friday night, my family and I went to watch a play called "A Journey Through Ancient Greece", so my father just started playing a role in it. I went there with the mentality of supporting my dad, but after watching the whole scene, I found it was quite interesting. Today I will write about my impressions.
This is a premiere contributed by the China-Greek Chinese Drama League. The China-Greece Drama Chinese Union is a drama troupe just established in May of this year. I rushed home before the show; I rehearsed for three consecutive days a week before the performance. These are all done by my father on the basis of arranging his usual work. I think that other actors should be similar, and have made extra contributions for the love of this drama. As the saying goes, "One minute on stage, ten years of work off stage", every move we experience on stage represents the efforts and sweat of the actors.
Back to this drama, it is like a humorous comedy. The main clue of the story is that a domestic internet celebrity who brought goods fell from the slope while doing live broadcast at Acropolis . After waking up, he found that he had traveled to ancient times. Greece, and then met a series of ancient Greek and ancient Chinese characters, including Odysseus, Medea, Prometheus, Antigone, Confucius, Plato, etc., around these characters’ well-known stories and famous sayings , We saw a four-act performance. The language of each act is more life-like, more straightforward and funny, such as Prometheus's lost muscles, but there will be a finishing touch at the end of each act. The reason for this scene is to let us in a relaxed and funny atmosphere. Reap some life truths from it.
The one that impressed me the most was the section where Medea sued Jason, vowed to retaliate and then tossed and turned. Although the actor performing Medea is also amateur, her performance is very dedicated and I empathize with her performance. When the performance ended and the director interviewed the audience, many people also said that they liked this section the most. My sister liked the one in Antigone more. She felt that the performance was complicated and full of sadness, but inexplicably she also agreed with Antigone's choice. In addition, there are still a lot of jokes during the whole performance, but some of them involve Chinese culture. For foreigners who come to watch the performance, they may not be able to get these jokes. Finally, it is worth mentioning the last paragraph of the three Chinese sages Confucius , Mencius and Laozi PK Greece’s three sages Socrates , Plato and Aristotle, discussing which country has more culture of bringing goods in Greece or China.
