reported on March 26 that Huayi Tencent Entertainment issued an announcement stating that executive director Wang Zhongjun had to resign from the company as executive director, chairman of the board of directors, chairman and member of the corporate governance committee due to his need to focus on other matters. Effective from March 30, 2021.
Wang Zhongjun has confirmed that there is no disagreement between him and the board of directors, and there is no matter related to his resignation that needs to be brought to the attention of the company's shareholders. After Wang Zhongjun's resignation, his daily management responsibilities as chairman will temporarily be assumed by Yuan Haibo, the company's executive director and chief executive officer.
Huayi Tencent Entertainment stated in the announcement that the company will arrange for the election of a new chairman as soon as practicable to fill the vacancy caused by Mr. Wang’s resignation as the chairman.
