Lin Pinren (Richard Lin, July 6, 1991 -), was born in the United States, then returned to Taiwan with his parents, was 4 years old to learn the violin, followed Gregory Lee (李东亨) to the United States in 2007 for further studies, and was admitted to the United States Curtis in 2008 School of Music, teacher Aaron Rosand. Since 2013, he has been studying at the Juilliard School of Music in the U.S., under the faculty of Lewis Kaplan. He is the silver medalist of the 2011 New Zealand Michael Hill International Violin Competition, the 2013 Sendai International Music Competition champion, the 2015 Yao Asing International Violin Competition third place winner, and the 2018 10th American Indianapolis International Violin Contest gold medal (the first Chinese to win this honor).

2001: Won the first place in Group B of Taichung Violin Elementary School in the National Student Music Competition.
2004: Won the first place in the junior high school category in the 5th Violin Competition of the Taiwan String Orchestra, and performed the Mozart Violin Concerto No. 3 in the National Concert Hall.
2007: Won the first prize in the Taichung No. 2 High School Concerto Competition, and performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto at the Taichung No. 2 High School Concert Hall.
2008: First place and Overall Winner of the Oklahoma Music Olympic "Buttram Competition" violin in the United States
2010: Won the 22nd Chi Mei Art Award
2011: Won the 6th New Zealand Michael Hill International Violin Competition Silver Medal
2013: Won the 5th Japan Sendai International Music Competition
2015: Won the second place in the 1st Singapore International Violin Competition
2015: Won the 3rd place in the 9th Hannover Yao Askin International Violin Competition
2016: Won the first Fifth place in Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition
2016: Won the fifth place in the Vineowski International Violin Competition
2018: Won the gold medal at the 10th Indian Napolis International Violin Competition (the first one to win this honor Chinese)
Lin Pinren has performed with many orchestras in famous concert halls; including the first collaboration with Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and conductor Iimori Fanqin at Tokyo Suntory Hall in 2014, as well as with orchestras around the world, such as NDR Radio Philharmonic, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Poznan Philharmonic, Lodz Philharmonic, Polish Baltic Philharmonic, Nagoya Philharmonic, Sendai Philharmonic, etc. The most feared thing to encounter in the

In 2013, Lin Pinren, Sendai Philharmonic and conductor Ferrot released their first album, which included works by Beethoven, Bartok and Brahms, and was released by Fontec. In the following year, he and his younger brother, pianist Lin Pin'an, collaborated to record a full set of Brahms piano and violin sonatas; the two of them often held recitals in Taiwan and Japan, and they were very popular with audiences in both places.
