The "School Area" Communist Youth League teamed up to organize college student volunteers to provide online counseling for the children of the "epidemic" line medical staff, and take practical actions to care and support the frontline medical staff. At the beginning of the
operation, the Youth League Committee of Anhui University of Technology issued a call to the youth members of the school, and nearly a thousand students responded within half an hour. The Maanshan Municipal Committee of the Youth League and the Municipal Health and Health Committee have been connected to collect statistics and sort out the actual needs of the children of medical staff. The Youth League Committee of Anhui University of Technology established the first batch of voluntary counseling volunteer teams.
College student volunteers will focus on tutoring courses in Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, biology, etc. The main content is subject knowledge, learning methods, and key and difficult content explanations. In addition, volunteers will also carry out voluntary services such as artistic interest and specialty counseling, reading exchange companionship, and cultural and artistic learning according to the age characteristics and individual needs of the children of medical staff.
Zhang Qingqing is a freshman majoring in administrative management at Anhui University of Technology. After seeing the recruitment information, he signed up as soon as possible and was responsible for tutoring a student at the home of a medical staff in the People's Hospital of the city. Zhang Qingqing said, “I hope to do my best to help these medical staff who are fighting on the front line of the epidemic.”
“The child I tutored is a senior high school student. His mother works in the Fourth People’s Hospital of the city. The patient is treated on the front line and cannot go home for a long time. I hope to use professional knowledge to help him.” said Yin Zhini, a student of environmental engineering at the School of Energy and Environment.
The head of the Youth League Committee of Anhui University of Technology said that there are still many teachers and students in the school who are willing to join voluntary services and provide long-term and continuous follow-up services to the needs of the children of medical staff.
