On November 30, a unique stage play "Xicheng Light Picking·Civilized Traffic in Action" was performed at the Xicheng District Youth and Children's Library. On the occasion of the 13th " National Traffic Safety Day", the Municipal Traffic Management Bureau and Xicheng District jointly launched an original youth traffic safety themed stage play, aiming to further strengthen the ideological and moral education of minors and enhance their awareness of traffic safety .

Gray bricks and blue tiles, pigeon whistles, it was an ordinary morning in the alleys of Xicheng, Beijing in 1988, and the story begins here. Traffic policeman Li Guoqing and a group of innocent and lively children staged scenes of warm past events here. Time flies, the children who were "nagged" by the traffic policeman Uncle Li have grown up and taken up different jobs, but what remains unchanged is the commitment to keep traffic safety in mind...

The play is a drama based on A "Journey of Time" drama featuring immersion, interaction, and inheritance. It takes the cultural landmark of Xicheng as the place where the story takes place, starting from the ringing of car bells on the streets in the 1980s, and taking the origins of the "Little Yellow Hat" and "122" alarm calls, the iteration of traffic safety facilities and measures, and the development and changes of road traffic elements. The clues of the story reflect the new look of Xicheng District citizens, especially young people, actively participating in civilized traffic management in the management of mega cities, and present a heartwarming story of jointly protecting civilized traffic with the concern of the whole society.

At the performance site, the whole play uses stage devices, stage lighting, multimedia technology and other means to present the elements of the times and traffic safety knowledge to the audience in rich and diverse forms, creating an immersive sense of time travel for the audience. The immersive experience inspires resonance among children and parents, and educates and entertains the awareness of law-abiding and etiquette. In addition, the "Beijing Iron Cavalry" also came to the scene to help out and interacted enthusiastically with the citizens.

It is worth mentioning that the 10 "little actors" in this play all come from the drama interest club in Xicheng District. Li Xianglong, a young actor from the "Haipan Mingxing" drama club in Shichahai Street, said: "The character I played is Yu Xiaoyu. He did not obey the traffic rules at the beginning in the play and was particularly dangerous. Later, under the guidance of the traffic policeman Uncle Li, he not only knew If I make a mistake, I can later spread traffic safety knowledge to my friends. In life, if my classmates don’t obey traffic rules, I will dissuade them in time.”
