On the day of the incident, the local cyber security police were conducting backend inspections of the online platform and discovered that someone was selling artist flight information. The police immediately launched an investigation and successfully identified and arrested the suspect Guo.

Guo explained that after using illegal means to obtain the artist’s personal identity information, she inquired about the artist’s flight itinerary at the airport’s self-service ticket machine or on the official website of the airline, and posted it in the star-chasing group and support group on social software. This information is sold.

After investigation, from October 2023 to April 2024, Guo sold a total of more than 800 pieces of artist flight itinerary information at a price of 3 to 6 yuan each, and made illegal gains of more than 4,000 yuan.

Currently, Guo is suspected of infringing on citizens’ personal information and has been subject to criminal coercive measures by the public security organs in accordance with the law.
