1. Personal background

Ask

Can you introduce your family and growth background?

Zheng Ying: I was born in Wenzhou, a city in southern Zhejiang, and I have the pragmatic and hard-working spirit of Wenzhou people in my heart. Energetic. I am the first child of my generation in my family, so I have been loved and valued by my family since I was a child. This also gives me more confidence and confidence when I make some important decisions when I grow up, because I know that my family will always support me. My parents have attached great importance to my education since I was a child, and they also taught me the importance of being honest and kind. The character of my parents set a good example for me, letting me know how to work hard in a down-to-earth manner to achieve results, and how to sincerely treat and help the friends and relatives around me. So I feel very lucky.

Wu Yaya: I was born in an ordinary intellectual family, a typical only child in the 1980s. My father was one of the first batch of college students after the resumption of the college entrance examination in 1977. The concept of "everything is inferior, only studying is good" deeply affected him. Therefore, my family attaches great importance to education, as well as communication. My parents were open and supportive of me leaving my hometown to study and work in Hong Kong. This became the cornerstone of my peaceful development in Hong Kong for more than ten years.

Shi Pian: I grew up in a scholarly family. My father was a university doctoral tutor, and my mother also worked in a university. My childhood memories are full of the tranquility of the university campus and the aroma of books and ink. There is always a desk lamp on at home, and the family of three sit around the small desk, each focused on the world of books. The words and deeds of my parents taught me a profound influence, making me understand the importance of seeking knowledge from reading at an early age. The family atmosphere also cultivated my ability to think independently and the direction of my interest development, which laid the foundation for my subsequent choice of undergraduate and master's majors. .

Asked

Which people or things have had important inspiration and influence on you while growing up?

Zheng Ying: I have met very good teachers along the way. From primary school mathematics teacher Jin Jian, junior high school teacher Liu Xiaohong to Wenzhou Middle School, as well as teachers from Zhejiang University, Peking University and Hong Kong University... I am so lucky to have these good teachers who are willing to give me guidance to guide me in the way forward. When I was in elementary school, I loved reading and applied to be the school librarian. I read various books in the library after class every day. I was impressed to read a book about the most outstanding scientists in New China. I lamented their achievements and contributions to the motherland and the world, and hoped to become such outstanding people as them in the future. At the same time, I discovered that all the scientists had PhD degrees, and only one had a master's degree. At that time, I thought that getting a master's degree would be great. Unexpectedly, I ended up studying all the way to a Ph.D.

Shi Pian: The first year I started working after graduating from a master’s degree in Hong Kong coincided with the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland. As a political journalist, I have the opportunity to interview public figures and take to the streets to conduct public opinion surveys to understand the grassroots. These experiences not only shaped my values and sense of responsibility as a Hong Kong citizen, but also made me realize the responsibility of each of us in safeguarding national sovereignty and promoting social progress, and strengthened my determination to continue to contribute to the development of Hong Kong society and the country.

asked

What was the opportunity that led you to choose your current career/career direction?

Zheng Ying: There was no career planning class in high school at that time. Young people were looking forward to an unlimited future and did not want to be a stable teacher or doctor. career, but my family wanted to have a doctor in the family, so I listened to my family’s advice and chose the Department of Stomatology at Zhejiang University. Now, I am both a doctor and a teacher, so life is also very interesting. After working in this industry, I like this profession very much. Medical research allows me to discover the mysteries of humanity, which is exciting. I often think now that I am honored to be able to work in medicine. I have learned and seen a lot of knowledge that cannot be learned in other professions. I have also learned some mysteries of life, which greatly satisfied my thirst for knowledge. These are also the reasons why I chose dentistry. Peripheral diseases are the causes of this and other systemic diseases more relevant to the dental subdivision. In daily life, as a doctor, being able to help patients and gain their trust and respect is also a great sense of accomplishment.

Wu Yaya: When I was about to graduate from graduate school, I seriously thought about the issues of ideals and career. Although I am an architecture student, I deeply understand that as an ideal architect, I need better imagination and creativity, and my strength is science and engineering thinking - strong ability to discover and solve problems, and execution Be meticulous. At that time, Hong Kong was in an era of recovery after the 2008 global financial crisis, and it was also the initial era of large Chinese commercial banks testing the waters of overseas investment banking. So I decided to stay in Hong Kong after graduation and join a Chinese investment bank that was still in its infancy at the time.

Shi Pian: I have always been concerned about the development of the country and Hong Kong. I am passionate about social and public affairs and have a strong sense of social responsibility. I am fully aware of the responsibilities and missions I shoulder as a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and a member of Hong Kong’s “three associations”, and I hope to be a bridge of communication between the government and the people. In a valuable learning opportunity, I realized that I can more effectively promote social progress through policy suggestions and participation in the decision-making process. Becoming a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and joining the three committees of Hong Kong gave me the opportunity to work hard to achieve these goals. Therefore, I chose my current social affairs direction and am committed to providing suggestions for the harmonious development of Hong Kong society and the prosperity and stability of the country.

2. Achievements and Contributions

Question

What important achievements have you made in your field?

At the same time, I work part-time as a doctor in the Hong Kong Department of Health, and am an honorary assistant professor at the School of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong and a visiting professor at the School of Stomatology at Zhejiang University.

I hope to contribute my own modest contribution to Hong Kong's prosperity and stability. At the same time, I am also committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong in the economic, cultural and youth fields, and creating more favorable conditions for mainland enterprises to "go global". In addition, I also actively participate in social welfare activities, hoping to do my best to contribute to the harmonious development of Hong Kong society.

Ask

What do you think is your greatest contribution to Hong Kong society?

Zheng Ying: In the professional field, you can serve the public with your professional knowledge and do a good job in oral health education. In order to promote and enhance public awareness of oral health, I have given many oral health lectures and participated in free clinics to different groups from all walks of life, including schools, youth clubs, hometown clubs and companies. In 2021, I founded my own dental brand "victoria dental". Together with many outstanding doctor colleagues, I serve the citizens with professional knowledge and technology and maintain their oral hygiene and health. At the same time, as a member of the Mainland Affairs Committee of the Hong Kong Dental Association and one of the founding members of the Mainland Alumni Association of the School of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong, I have also led students from the School of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong to visit the mainland many times, including the School of Stomatology of Wuhan University, the School of Stomatology of Sun Yat-sen University The School of Medicine, Shenzhen University of Hong Kong Hospital and the South China Dental Exhibition promote exchanges and mutual learning in dental medicine between the two places, and also allow these young Hong Kong dental students to understand the development of the mainland in recent years.

In addition to the professional field, I also actively participate in social welfare. During the epidemic in 2022, I donated the clinic as a storage and distribution place for anti-epidemic materials for fellow townspeople. I also led the team to participate in the sorting and distribution of anti-epidemic materials organized by the Huajing Association, which received support from the Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau and the United Nations. A thank you award from the youth department. As a youth leader of a hometown association, I organize orientation sessions for newly arrived students every year, as well as regular youth gatherings and activities to help them integrate into Hong Kong society faster. I also often organize charity activities in Hong Kong and back home, such as fundraising for youths and nursing home activities in cooperation with the Charity Guidance Association and the Hong Kong Chinese Women's Association, and returning to my hometown to support school students for the children of migrant workers and set up scholarships. We have organized many patriotic and Hong Kong activities, such as healthy morning jogging activities to support the 2023 District Council elections. At the same time, a large number of activities have been carried out to promote exchanges between the two places. For example, in May 2023, the "Wenzhou-Hong Kong Forum" was successfully held with the participation of nearly a thousand people. The forum led to the signing of 25 projects between the two places.

Wu Yaya: What I am most proud of is the opportunity to do my best in the Hong Kong financial market and contribute to the country and the overseas financing of state-owned enterprises. Over the past decade or so, Chinese financial institutions and companies have issued overseas investments from RMB to U.S. dollars, from senior debt to subordinated debt, with the annual issuance scale increasing from more than 10 billion U.S. dollars to a peak of more than 200 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. The Asia-Pacific region accounts for More than 60%. This is a magnificent history of the development of Hong Kong's financial market backed by the motherland. I am deeply involved as the head of China for the largest bond underwriting house in the Asian market.

Shi Pian: I always believe that it is my greatest honor to be able to contribute to the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and the prosperity of the country. By actively participating in political discussions, I hope to promote policy optimization, benefit Hong Kong people, and contribute to Hong Kong's long-term development.

  Ask

What important challenges have you encountered in your career? How did you overcome them?

Zheng Ying: In fact, there are challenges at every stage. As long as you are still on the way forward, difficulties and resistance are It was inevitable, so all I did was keep my feet on the ground, break down big difficulties into small ones, and then overcome them one by one. Practicing medicine is destined for me to be a lifelong learner. Although I sometimes feel tired, when I look back at the road I have traveled, the cases I have accumulated, and the patients I have helped, I feel a sense of accomplishment. These are the reasons why I will continue to work hard and move forward. motivation.

Wu Yaya: First of all, the biggest challenge is to switch to the financial industry. I graduated from the school’s architecture department and then joined an investment bank. At the beginning of my career, I had to face the challenge of going from zero to one. How to overcome it? Only by being fully committed, seizing every learning opportunity, can we improve our work efficiency at every step. If efficiency cannot be improved temporarily, the only option is to sacrifice sleep. The next challenge was the financial crisis and the market downturn. Investment banks are very particular about personnel efficiency, and layoffs are inevitable when the market is bad. I have experienced three relatively large-scale layoffs. During this process, stabilizing my mentality, maximizing the maintenance of the company's business, and delivering the best performance are the main reasons for my career to continue moving forward.

Shi Pian: I am a professional woman and a mother of two children. How to find a balance between work, social affairs and family life is what I have been thinking about and working hard on. I'm lucky enough to have a job that I love, which makes me passionate and productive at work. When participating in social affairs, especially charity activities and cultural activities in some areas, I will take the children to participate so that they can receive public welfare education under the influence of their ears and eyes.

 3. The journey of winning the award

Ask

How did you know that you were selected as one of the "Top Ten Outstanding Young People of New Hong Kong"? How did you feel at the time?

Zheng Ying: I had just completed a periodontal surgery that evening. It was almost 9 o'clock when I got home and finished eating. I was very happy and touched. I am very grateful to my friends. Attention to me.

Wu Yaya: I received the WeChat notification from the organizing committee that I was elected. I was on a business trip at the time and had just passed the security check at the airport. I was very excited when I saw the news and called the person in charge of the organizing committee. Thank you, thank you.

Shi Pian: I learned that I was named one of the "Top Ten Outstanding New Hong Kong Youths" through the organizer's official account. I felt very surprised and honored at that time, and I was filled with gratitude.

  asked

How do you feel about receiving the title of "Top Ten Outstanding New Hong Kong Youth"? What does this award mean to your future development?

Zheng Ying: It is an honor but also a spur and responsibility. I feel that it will not only be for my personal career in the future We must work hard and set an example for all the new Hong Kong youth. We will consider more how to help the new friends around us integrate into Hong Kong, how to use our own strengths to serve Hong Kong and build Hong Kong. As the strength of the new Hong Kong youth, we will work together for the future. Hong Kong opens a new chapter!

Wu Yaya: I think this selection event and the title of New Outstanding Youth are of great significance to Hong Kong society today. It has a driving and guiding role for Hong Kong people, new Hong Kong people, and quasi-Hong Kong people. We work together to promote the influence of new outstanding young people.

Shi Pian: This year marks the 27th anniversary of the return to China, and it is also the 20th year since I first set foot on the hot land of Hong Kong. It means a lot to me to receive this award in this special year. This is an honor, but also a responsibility, and it is also an important milestone in my growth process. This honor is not only an affirmation of my hard work over the past twenty years, but also an incentive for me to continue to strive in the future. I am proud to be a member of the "Outstanding Youth Family", which will inspire me to continue working hard and contribute more to the harmonious development of Hong Kong society.

  4. Advice to young people

 asked

What advice do you have for the younger generation? Especially for those young people who want to make a difference in your field.

Zheng Ying: The road to studying medicine is long and arduous, but along the way it can lead you to appreciate the mysteries of life, enable you to understand philosophies that are difficult for non-medical majors to understand, and enable you to apply what you have learned to help patients. I hope that more young people can engage in and love the medical industry. I also hope that everyone can endure loneliness, be down-to-earth, keep learning, and keep improving on this long road.

Wu Yaya: Hong Kong society is full of opportunities, but also full of challenges. The Hong Kong financial market is a typical example of the coexistence of opportunities and challenges. The job of an investment bank looks glamorous on the outside, but it is actually very stressful. The ability to withstand stress is especially important for young people entering the industry. This is very critical for long-term development in investment banking and long-term maintenance of physical and mental health. In addition, professional knowledge can be acquired step by step at work and learned throughout life, so learning ability is also another very important quality.

Shi Pian: I want to say to the younger generation that dreams are beautiful, but realizing them requires unremitting efforts. I suggest that everyone set clear goals and pursue their dreams bravely. In this process, we must focus on teamwork, learn to grow with others, and support each other. It is particularly worth mentioning that in this year's selection of "Top Ten Outstanding New Hong Kong Youth", female winners accounted for 60%, which is relatively rare in previous selections. As the honorary president of the Kowloon Women's Federation, I am very happy to see that more and more young women are willing to stand up and show "her" power in various fields. I hope that in the future, more young women will take root in Hong Kong and bravely pursue their dreams and contribute to society.

  Ask

What qualities and abilities do you think young people in today's society should have?

Zheng Ying: Problem based learning is the main teaching method of the School of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong. Life-long learning, problem discovery and independent learning are the continuous progress of a person after leaving school. the basis of. Especially in this era of rapid development of artificial intelligence and big data, how to find problems at work and have the ability to learn and solve problems are necessary qualities and abilities for the development of contemporary young people.

Wu Yaya: Strong learning ability, stable psychological core, maintaining exercise and healthy living habits.

Shi Pian: Director Xia Baolong of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council once said when attending the opening ceremony of Hong Kong’s 2024 National Security Education Day, “Today’s China is not yesterday’s China, and today’s world is not yesterday’s world. We must proactively adapt to the development trend of the times, keep up with the pace of development of the times, actively recognize, respond to and seek changes, and open up a new world for Hong Kong's development in the changing situation. "

" I completely agree with this sentence. Today's society is developing rapidly. Young people should have the spirit of innovation and adaptability, a sense of responsibility, an international perspective and communication skills and qualities, be brave enough to face challenges, and actively seek opportunities.

5. Hong Kong development environment

Ask

What do you think of Hong Kong as an environment for entrepreneurship and career development? What are its advantages?

Zheng Ying: Hong Kong’s entrepreneurial environment is very friendly. I am also an entrepreneur. I founded it on the banks of Victoria Harbor in 2021. Established its own dental brand "Victoria Dental". The efficient management of the Hong Kong government allows entrepreneurs to minimize administrative costs and focus more on improving the quality and level of their own services. At the same time, Hong Kong is close to the huge mainland market and is an international platform. It is easy to access international information and communicate with international peers, providing a unique platform for entrepreneurs.

Wu Yaya: Hong Kong has gathered a large number of global elites and encourages the collision of ideas. It can efficiently and conveniently find like-minded partners with complementary advantages. Hong Kong is backed by the mainland, especially the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and its complete industrial supporting facilities and top-notch manufacturing capabilities are highly complementary and complementary to Hong Kong's original innovation. Hong Kong has a high degree of internationalization, and various systems and institutions are recognized by overseas countries, making it very suitable for global development. Hong Kong's culture is very tolerant. All kinds of new ideas and new attempts can be openly discussed and implemented here, and there is a good tolerance for failure.

Shi Pian: Hong Kong has a sound legal system, efficient market operation mechanism and international business environment, which provide entrepreneurs and enterprises with excellent development soil.

  Ask

Now that the environment is tightening, do you think it will have a big impact on Hong Kong? For young people in Hong Kong, what challenges do you think they face? What suggestions and support do you have?

Zheng Ying: It has an impact, but it is also an opportunity. and challenges. On the one hand, we must constantly improve our own quality to stand out in the tightening environment; on the other hand, opportunities always appear in changes, and changes are always accompanied by opportunities. Only those who are well prepared can Seize the opportunity and face the difficulties.

Wu Yaya: I think that the general environment has tightened in recent years and geopolitical issues have a great impact on the world. As one of the sensitive global financial centers, Hong Kong has also seen very obvious market fluctuations. Externally, there are disruptions in the global economic supply chain, US dollar inflation, interest rate hikes, and economic weakness in many countries; internally, there are economic ripples caused by destocking pressure in the domestic real estate market, changes in consumption habits after the epidemic, and changes in Hong Kong's demographic structure. These are all quietly changing. It is changing, reshaping or promoting the development direction of Hong Kong.

Young people in Hong Kong should be a group with greater pressure and challenges in the world. This can be seen from data such as cost of living rankings released by various statistical agencies. But at the same time, Hong Kong's social order, fairness, and security are also at the forefront of the world. For young people, the only way to cope with challenges is Hong Kong's traditional "Lion Rock Spirit", which is to explore the path of fairness in the collision of the East and the West, and to exert the power of bonding in the integration of the East and the West.

Shi Pian: Although facing a complex international environment, I believe that Hong Kong has always been a resilient city with a strong economic foundation and flexible market adjustment capabilities. I believe that Hong Kong can effectively respond to various challenges. Maintain her competitive edge.

Young people in Hong Kong face challenges such as high cost of living, fierce competition for talent, and prominent housing problems. I suggest that they pay close attention to national policy guidance and development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, maintain a positive attitude, continue to learn, and improve their competitiveness. At the same time, you should also actively find a development path that suits you, bravely pursue your dreams, and realize your self-worth.

 6. Vision for Hong Kong

Ask

What is your vision for the future development of Hong Kong?

Zheng Ying: I hope that in addition to maintaining an international metropolis that is safe, livable, competitive and sustainable, Hong Kong can also Continue to play a pivotal role, and on this basis, develop the advantages of universities and advanced medicine to become a pioneer in the fields of scientific innovation and medical research.

Wu Yaya: Hong Kong is the super contact between the mainland and the world, and one of the most important bridges between China and the outside world. Hong Kong's status and value in the global economy and culture come not only from China's historical positioning of Hong Kong as open to the outside world and connected to the world, but also from the confidence and actions of other countries and economies around the world in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a convergence point for the two-way development of China and foreign countries. I believe that no matter what stage of history we are in, openness is always the right approach and only cooperation can lead to win-win results. In its future development, Hong Kong will continue to serve as a bridgehead for China's reform and opening up, and assume the corresponding historical mission in the new era.

Shi Pian: In the 27 years since Hong Kong returned to the motherland, the practice of "one country, two systems" has achieved world-renowned achievements, and the great advantages of "one country, two systems" have continued to be demonstrated. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the National Day, Hong Kong is standing at a new historical starting point, opening a new chapter of "from governance to prosperity", and heading towards a new journey of prosperity. I believe that with the strong support of the central government, Hong Kong will continue to maintain long-term prosperity and stability, give full play to its own advantages, continue to build an open, inclusive and dynamic international metropolis, achieve greater breakthroughs in the field of scientific and technological innovation, and become a The creative and technological hub of Asia and the world.

  Ask

How do you hope to continue to contribute to Hong Kong society in the future?

Zheng Ying: On the basis of doing my own medical work, I will do my best to promote medical cooperation and cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland. Communicate, serve the society, serve Hong Kong, and raise public awareness of oral health. At the same time, as a new Hong Kong youth, I will continue to engage in youth work and social work, hoping to serve as a bridge between the two places and promote exchanges between young professionals from the two places.

Wu Yaya: On the one hand, I will continue to focus on my job, introduce more Chinese companies to the world, strengthen the influence and appeal of Chinese companies in the world, and allow international capital to invest more confidently and profitably. China, making it more open and convenient for Chinese enterprises to attract and utilize foreign investment. On the other hand, as a new outstanding young person in Hong Kong, I will be more involved in the work of communicating between Hong Kong and the mainland, helping more Hong Kong people understand and integrate into the mainland, and helping more mainland people visit Hong Kong and understand Hong Kong.

Shi Pian: As a member of the Hong Kong Political Consultative Conference, I will continue to actively participate in political discussions and play a "dual positive role". I will play an active role in the country's economic and social development on the mainland, and in Hong Kong and Macao, I will play an active role in maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao. Support the SAR government to better lead the whole society to move forward at full speed, seize the country's development opportunities, and enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness; as a member of the "Three Sessions" appointed by the new SAR government, we will shoulder the social responsibility of implementing "patriots governing Hong Kong", Perform your duties conscientiously and contribute your wisdom and strength to good governance in the region.

  7. International perspective

Ask

What do you think of Hong Kong’s role and positioning in the context of globalization? How do you think Hong Kong can use its unique advantages to play a greater role on the international stage?

Zheng Ying: Hong Kong is Asia’s world city and global financial center, hoping to maintain its status as an international financial center and international trade hub. Hong Kong has world-class universities, an inclusive language and culture, which provide the conditions for it to serve as an innovation and technology center including medical research and a gathering place for international talents. I believe that this positioning will drive further development of Hong Kong.

Wu Yaya: There is no doubt that Hong Kong will continue to play an important role in the global financial market and new economic development, and at the same time benefit from it, promoting its own economic development and even industrial transformation.Hong Kong is a super connector between the mainland and the world, and one of the most important bridges between China and the outside world.

Hong Kong’s biggest advantage is that it is backed by a powerful motherland. This is fundamentally different from Singapore. Singapore has developed rapidly in the past year or two, but compared with Hong Kong, it does not have a strong country to support it, but can only do its best. It is possible to tap the resources of an advantageous city, which is difficult to compete with Hong Kong in terms of long-term momentum.

Shi Pian: In the context of globalization, Hong Kong is an important bridge connecting mainland China and the world. It is also an important international financial center and plays a pivotal role in the global capital market. Hong Kong has the unique advantage of being "backed by the motherland and connected to the world", and its status as an international financial center has always received solid support from the central government. The long-term stable and rapid development of the national economy has made Hong Kong's financial market full of vitality and created unlimited possibilities for Hong Kong's financial services industry. From my observation, Hong Kong’s financial institutions have the advantage of being familiar with the operating rules of international capital and understanding the actual situation of mainland enterprises. They can reflect Hong Kong’s basic national policy of “one country, two systems” and its role as a super link under the “Belt and Road” initiative. The outstanding role of people is to solve the cross-border financing needs of mainland enterprises and recommend better investment targets in Jiangsu to international investors. I am also willing to create smooth communication channels for friends from both places and broaden the channels for mainland enterprises that are willing to sail overseas. The path to international capital markets.

Hong Kong can make full use of its unique geographical advantages, complete legal system and rich international resources to continuously consolidate its central position in the fields of international finance, trade, shipping and other fields. At the same time, it can actively promote international cultural exchanges and economic cooperation, and in the international Play a bigger role on stage.

8. Future plans and expectations

asked

After receiving this honor, do you have any new plans and plans for your future development?

Zheng Ying: In addition to continuing to serve the society professionally, I will also participate more Social justice activities to better repay the society and build Hong Kong.

Wu Yaya: I will continue to be committed to bringing more updated overseas financial products to Chinese-funded enterprises, and at the same time, I will also bring more high-quality Chinese-funded enterprises to the Hong Kong financial market.

Zheng Ying: My research direction is the genetic mechanism of periodontal disease. The research topic has been supported by the Hong Kong Government’s Medical and Health Research Fund. The research won the Best Research Award (poster) at the Asia-Pacific Society of Periodontology Annual Meeting. In 2016, he was awarded the Fellowship of the International College of Dentists (ficd), becoming the youngest Chinese academician of the organization in the world at that time; at the end of 2022, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Periodontal Therapy Department of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, becoming the oldest Chinese academician in the world. He is one of the few doctors with a medical background in mainland China among the medical institutions; he will become a member of the Department of Dentistry of the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow, UK, and a member of the Hong Kong Dental College in 2023. At the same time, I work part-time as a doctor in the Hong Kong Department of Health, and am an honorary assistant professor at the School of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong and a visiting professor at the School of Stomatology at Zhejiang University.

Wu Yaya: The projects I have participated in include: China's first batch of Baodao bond issuance (2 billion Taiwan offshore RMB bond issuance by China Construction Bank Hong Kong Branch in 2013); China's first commercial bank "Basel III" priority share issuance (Bank of China US$6.5 billion preferred shares in 2014); China’s first insurance company “C-ROSS” core tier 2 capital bond issuance (China Life US$1.28 billion core-tier 2 notes in 2015); China’s first financial institution Green bond issuance (2015 Agricultural Bank of China USD + RMB dual-currency green bond); China’s first Magnolia bond issuance (2021 Bank of China Hong Kong Branch’s US$500 million Magnolia bond); China’s first asset management company preferred stock issuance (2016 China Cinda’s US$3.2 billion preferred stock in 2018); Shenzhen’s first state-owned enterprise’s overseas dollar bond issuance (Shenzhen Investment Holdings’ US$700 million bond in 2018). These are all very important parts of my career.

Shi Pian: As a member of the Hong Kong Political Consultative Conference, I actively participate in political discussions and write a number of policy recommendations focusing on Hong Kong's economy, people's livelihood and development.

I looked at my phone and found that I had received a lot of messages, all of which were congratulations from friends who cared about me. I found out that I had been selected.
