"My father influenced me"

In 1946, Wei Fu was born in an acting family. Her father Wei Heling was a famous film performing artist. He had starred in the Anti-Japanese War feature film "Defend Our Land" and "Road Angel", "The Crow and the Sparrow" and "Blessings". " and dozens of well-known movies, and won titles such as "Star of the Century" and "One of the Hundred Outstanding Actors in Chinese Films for a Century".

"Movies were my father's only thought in his life. Before he died, he crookedly wrote four words on the paper - I am an actor." Under the influence of her father, Wei Fu loved literature and art since she was a child. At first, she was in a dance school. Then he went to Shanghai Opera House to be a trainee, and stayed at the Opera House after graduating in 1963. Wei Fu became a dancer and served as the lead solo dancer in the dance dramas "The Little Knife Club", "To the Moon" and "The Fury in the Coconut Grove".

In 1982, the Beijing Dance Academy’s first choreography class enrolled students, and Wei Fu was lucky enough to be admitted. After graduation, Wei Fu gradually transformed from a dancer to a director, getting involved in opera, drama, drama and other fields.

In 1986, the three-episode TV series "Director's Chorea" written by Wei Fu was broadcast on CCTV. She has also written and directed more than 20 original dance dramas and romantic dramas such as "The Legend of Dayu", "White Snake and Xu Xian", and "Huizhou Fengya". As the planner and full-time chief director of major international cultural exchange events in Shanghai, she has directed and planned nearly 100 evening parties. and large-scale performances, becoming a "cross-border choreographer".

In 1983, Wei Fu was introduced to the Democratic League by actor Wu Yin. "Aunt Wu Yin and my father worked together on "The Crow and the Sparrow", and the two families have a very good relationship. She joined the Democratic League in 1956 and introduced me to many things within the league. Under her influence, I also joined Democratic League."

In 1984, Wei Fu went to Shenzhen to establish a dance training base and prepare to establish a Shenzhen dance school. "I will encounter many difficulties when doing cultural projects in a new place. Fortunately, the Shanghai Democratic League issued me a letter of introduction before departure. This made me feel that it is good to be organized."

After returning to Shanghai, Wei Fu also served as He has become the deputy chairman of the Democratic League branch and a representative of the Ninth Democratic League Shanghai Congress. "Northern varieties bear southern fruits"

Wei Fu retired in 2001, but her artistic journey did not stop and she continued to innovate. In the following 20 years, she became associated with "Shanghai Yangko" and citizen drama, ushering in the "second spring" of her career.

How to inherit and innovate Shanghai’s new folk dance? What is the contribution of our generation to the folk culture of the Chinese nation? For this responsibility and pursuit, Wei Fu went into the community and among the people, creating a new form of Yangko with modern urban characteristics, showing the Shanghai urban spirit of "accommodating all rivers and pursuing excellence".

"Let northern varieties bear southern fruits" and made bold explorations to popularize traditional yangko and innovative group dances.Wei Fu's creative team created 6 sets of "Shanghai Style Yangko" prescribed routines and 6 sets of optional routines in 10 years. The third set of prescribed routines has become a national promotion routine of the State Sports General Administration and has been listed as a national mass sports and fitness brand project.

Because of her association with "Shanghai Yangko", Wei Fu entered the international stage of the Beijing Olympics and the Shanghai World Expo. In 2008, the large-scale dance "Shanghai Zizhu Tune" created by her represented Shanghai in performances in 28 provinces before the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, and was awarded by the Olympic Organizing Committee. In 2010, the large-scale "Shanghai Style Yangko" and "Wuyue Nongxian" participated in the closing ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo. The "Shanghai-style Yangko" series "Shikumen Style" and "Spring River Flowers and Moonlight Night" performed 40 times at the Shanghai World Expo and won the "'Shanghai-style Yangko' Special Contribution Award".
