"Thunderstorm" was first published in "Literary Quarterly". The play is set in Chinese society around 1925. It is regarded as the cornerstone of realism in Chinese drama and a milestone in the maturity of modern Chinese drama.
At yesterday's rehearsal scene, you can see that a "violent storm" related to fate is being staged. In the airtight "thunderstorm" time and space, eight dancers, including Shan Chong, Zhang Aoyue, and Sun Qiuyue, performed every movement and every movement. In terms of stage design, the dance drama "Thunderstorm" uses multimedia light and shadow to divide the stage space, throwing the multi-dimensional "thunderstorm" time and space into the audience's sight. A huge and deep circular staircase stands at the back of the stage, with characters constantly flowing back and forth, forming a spatial visual "montage". The ring-shaped facade is a metaphor for the entrance to the abyss, forming a three-dimensional composite "visual landscape". In terms of lighting, this work is given more of a sense of oil painting, wood carving and subtle tones, in order to externalize the rich emotions of the characters into the obscurity of the lighting, forming a harmonious and balanced beauty. Yang Donglin, who is responsible for the costume design, has created popular dance dramas such as "Only Green", "The Eternal Wave" and "Wing Chun".
