On July 21, the 2024 "Voice of Panda" Chengdu (International) Children's Chorus Music Week Pengzhou Special Concert was held in the Concert Hall of Jiufeng Academy of Pengzhou Middle School. Many outstanding children's choirs from China, South Korea, New Zealand and other countries and regions gathered together to use their pure and infectious singing to perform a cross-border cultural exchange feast.
As an important chapter of the 2024 "Voice of Panda" Chengdu (International) Children's Choir Music Week, this concert not only showcased the outstanding talents of Chinese and foreign young people in the field of music, but also built a bridge to promote cultural exchanges, friendship and mutual trust.
The concert kicked off with the ethnic-style singing of the "Zhizihuakai" choir of Zhihe Middle School in Pengzhou City. Subsequently, "Stars" and "Unforgettable Noodles" by the Korean Gimcheon Youth Choir used their warm melodies to make people feel the power of music to cross borders and convey emotions.
In addition, the Dandelion Choir of Chongqing People’s Primary School performed “The Declaration of the Bear” and “The Future of Nostalgia”, the Macao Fujian School Chorus performed “Thank You” and “Little Crocodile”, and the Macao Pei Zheng Middle School and Primary School Chorus performed “Song of Fireflies”. "Long Live the Music" and "Song of the Seven Sons", as well as "Insects Flying" and "Farewell" by the Oriole Class of Chengdu Radio and Television Children's Choir. Each song is full of affection and touches people's hearts. In particular, "Matariki" and "I Saw a Star" presented by Chuang Tianlai Children's Chorus (New Zealand) brought a new listening experience to the audience with their unique timbre and style.
At the concert, Pengzhou Tianfu Road Primary School also specially presented the Sichuan Opera performance "Blue Waves and Red Lotus". The wonderful performance and gorgeous costumes won bursts of applause from the audience. Afterwards, representatives of each choir came on stage to interact and learn basic Sichuan Opera movements. This session not only enhanced their understanding of traditional Chinese culture, but also further deepened their friendship with each other.
