Last year, Jinshanwei Town launched the 2023 ecological public welfare forest construction project, with a total implementation area of 69.86 acres, involving Permanent Village, Bayi Village, Zhangqiao Village, Nongjian Village and other areas. As of now, 85% of the relevant projects have been completed. In the second half of this year, the 2024 ecological public welfare forest construction project will also be launched. By then, more than 60 acres of public welfare forest land will be added.

In Yonglian Village, Jinshanwei Town, a forest patrol volunteer group composed of three retired soldiers Shen Jie, Wang Zhifeng, and Zhu Xiaojun patrols about 450 acres of forest land in the village every month. As the "civilian forest chief" of Jinshanwei Town and forest patrol volunteers, they check whether there is any destruction of forest resources in the forest area, whether there is garbage in the forest road green belt, and the status of tree growth, diseases and insect pests, etc. They are busy in every corner. figure. Since 2022, in order to deeply tap social forces to participate in forest resource management and protection, Jinshanwei Town has actively promoted "private forest chiefs" to join the forest resource management and protection work on the basis of the original "forest chief system". So far, various types of forest chiefs have been hired There are 26 "private forest managers", and 438 problems were discovered during daily inspections and 438 problems were solved.
At the same time, Jinshanwei Town has also actively mobilized and organized various volunteer teams to participate in forest patrol and protection work. For example, in the northern villages, retired old secretaries have been mobilized as a reserve force to participate in forest patrol work, effectively solving the complex problem of forest land in northern villages. , the arduous tasks of patrolling and other issues. It is reported that in the past five years, in terms of the construction of various public welfare forests and ecological corridors, Jinshanwei Town has added a total of approximately 3,259.73 acres of various forest lands.
