Starting from July 17, two classic musicals "Bloody Xiangjiang" and "Osmanthus Rain" produced by the Guangxi Song and Dance Theater will be staged at the Daning Theater. Let the Shanghai audience better understand and enter Guangxi through the works in the theater.

The play is based on the historical facts of the Battle of Xiangjiang in northern Guangxi in November 1934. It tells the touching story of the troops who performed rearguard missions in the Battle of Xiangjiang to cover the central government agencies and fraternal troops in their rush to cross the Xiangjiang River, and ultimately all sacrificed their lives heroically. In this test of blood and fire, the revolutionary heroes used their infinite loyalty to the party and the revolutionary cause, the courage to win, the courage to break through, and the courage to sacrifice the spiritual strength to successfully break through the military siege and fight their way out at the cost of huge sacrifices. The revolutionary road to new life and victory. 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Red Army's Long March on the Xiangjiang River. The musical "Bloody Xiangjiang" starts its tour again and comes to Shanghai. It uses the red story of Guangxi to promote the magnificent Guangxi and stirs the hearts of more contemporary young audiences with a wonderful audio-visual feast.
"Osmanthus tree, sweet-scented osmanthus is yellow." A lingering love, a rock-solid feeling, and an eternal commitment are all transformed into the season when the osmanthus flowers fall like rain. The musical "Osmanthus Rain" is a masterpiece with rich national characteristics and regional style. It tells a story about waiting, persistence and integrity with the old streets of Guilin as the background. The play brings to the stage Guilin's landscape, old streets, wind and rain bridges, hydrangeas, folk song duets and other characteristic elements that best represent Guangxi, coupled with ink-style multimedia images, creating a dreamlike Guangxi. The play premiered 15 years ago. In an era when domestic musicals were not yet popular, the musical "Osmanthus Rain" made its debut with wonderful visual impact and pleasant auditory enjoyment, becoming a classic in the hearts of many audiences. He has won the Special Award of the Wenhua Award of the 9th China Art Festival, the Outstanding Work Award of the 12th "Five One Project" of Spiritual Civilization Construction and other awards.
