Hundreds of Chinese and foreign musicians jointly presented 24 live performances at the Shanghai Symphony Hall and Shanghai City Music Lawn Square. 26 live online concerts and events attracted more than 12 million viewers, allowing audiences from all over the world to have a romantic encounter with music. Later, Tan Dun composed a violin concerto of the same name for Zhang Yimou's "Hero". The "Queen of Instruments" violin transforms into the heroine Feixue, with melodies that are sometimes angry and sometimes pathos, analyzing the romance, tragedy and desolation of this character. For the Summer Music Festival, Tan Dun has re-adapted the work and made a new debut.
From "Book of Swordsman" in 1955 to "Yue Nu Sword" in 1970, the 15 martial arts novels written by Jin Yong gave the Chinese world an unforgettable martial arts world.

When Yu Long proposed the commission in November last year, "my eyes immediately lit up." Liang Haoyi grew up in Hong Kong. A fan of Jin Yong, he read Jin Yong's novels and watched Jin Yong's martial arts dramas produced in Hong Kong since he was a child. In order to create, he picked up Jin Yong's novels again, recalled the plots or characters that touched him most, and looked for inspiration. "I hope the audience can dream with us, the dream of martial arts."

The “martial arts” theme runs throughout this year’s festival. Before the closing performance, writer Mao Jian was a guest at misa talk and shared her thoughts on Jin Yong’s world with the audience. On the same day, the Shaolin Temple martial monks also came to unveil the veil of Shaolin Kung Fu. Prior to this, the instructors of "Star Tai Chi" also taught the audience the three basic Tai Chi postures on the spot. From concerts, lectures to one-by-one Kung Fu demonstrations, the music festival has brought martial arts closer to modern people.
