Released on the 9th.
In the "Delivery" version of the trailer released by "Retrograde Life", Gao Zhilei, a migrant worker, learned that he was "optimized" by the company. He was furious for a moment, waved his hand and smashed the chair against the glass of the conference room to vent his anger. The broken glass was like Gao Zhilei's Base's self-esteem and life were severely thrown to the ground. Gao Zhilei's experience of being laid off is also a true microcosm of many migrant workers in real life.
But life is not just about relieving one's anger. Looking back, think about the mortgage, dad's medical expenses, the living expenses of the whole family...everything is a necessary expense. Unemployed Gao Zhilei encountered obstacles many times while looking for a new job. In order to support his family, Gao Zhilei looked for another way out and planned to apply for a job as a delivery boy. However, he was rejected by Zhu (played by Jia Bing), the head of the delivery station. Faced with "It's because of "Am I too old?" When asked, webmaster Zhu responded with a pun, "We have no other discrimination here, only takeaway riders." What seems like a joke also conveys the theme of the film. In the film, "chivalry" is not only about delivery workers, but also a "run" attitude towards life. Although there are many unsatisfactory life, there will be success as soon as you walk. The road will be windy when we run. Every one of us who lives hard and shines is a "knight" of life.
"Retrograde Life" also shows real and vivid takeaway group characters. Every takeaway worker from all over the world and different ages who appears in the trailer, including deaf-mute takeaway takers, female takeaway takeaways, etc., are all based on the early stage of the movie. Through real interviews, every image comes from people who work hard in reality. The film strives to show the audience the most realistic and flesh-and-blood group portraits of people running among city buildings. In the trailer, the delivery people shuttle through maze-like alleys, ride in heavy rain, and get food "in between" during the peak period of "crowds"... However, the "headwind" life makes these delivery people live out “Tailwind” optimism. These people who work hard deserve to be seen and respected by us.
In the "Happiness" version of the poster released by the film, Gao Zhilei and his family took a family portrait. The family standing close together looked particularly bright and warm. While showing realism, the film is also full of warmth and healing. The audience not only saw the upward power of life in adversity, but also the true touching human feelings.
