The project recruited qualified high-quality plays from March to May through an open call. In two months, a total of 72 works from all over the country were received, and 10 small theater works and 5 new works were finally selected. For space (public space) works, the selected works cover six major types of plays, including dramas, children's plays, operas, musicals, dance dramas, and diverse cross-border works, each with its own merits.

Performance groups spread across the country, collectively helping to display and spread traditional culture among various audience groups. During the performance period from July to December, the Beijing Opera Troupe, Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group, Sichuan Song and Dance Theater, Wuxi Xi Theater and other state-owned art troupes showed their main force, Beijing Ma Qiao Culture, Beijing Jiuguang Yishu Culture, Shenzhen Xiao Private performance groups such as Chengbao Culture innovated new forms of performances, and young talents from the Central Academy of Drama, Communication University of China, Beijing Dance Academy, Shanghai Theater Academy and other universities brought fresh vitality to the performances.
The content of the performance is innovative and trendy, focusing on demonstrating the diversity, possibility and innovation of traditional culture in contemporary expressions. In the small theater unit, "The Life of Galileo" and "Walking with the Wind" respectively showcase Western masterpieces and Chinese aesthetics in the form of puppet shows, "Where Does Spring Return" and "Diao Chan, What Are You Thinking?" ” interprets ancient Chinese historical stories in the form of musicals, “Where the Soul Returns”, “Jingyang Bells”, “As You Like” and “The Storm in the Imperial College” combine drama elements to present anecdotes and legends in the form of a drama, and “Liao Zhai·Purple Tail” uses Traditional Xi opera shows the current philosophy of human nature, and "Lao Zhang's Philosophy" uses Beijing Opera to reproduce Lao She's classics. In the New Space (Public Space) unit, "Strange Adventures with Strange Rocks", "Sunrise and Moonset, There Will Be Dawn", "Moon Rabbit", "Chang'e" and "One Occasional Day, That Sea Monster Appears" feature music, dance, opera, etc. A variety of forms bloom on the performance stage to unleash youthful vitality and artistic enthusiasm.

In addition to performances, the 4th "Tianqiao City Citizen Open Day with Wine, Flags, Plays and Drums" hosted by Beijing Tianqiao Art Center will be held at the same time, with a variety of cultural fairs, themed exhibitions, reading activities, etc.; at the same time , Beijing Tianqiao Art Center’s public welfare activity brand “Weekend Art Gathering” will launch a special series and carry out various activities such as art sharing sessions and repertoire workshops.
