qfuntheater Children's Experimental Theater's 2024 youth original drama "The Book of Songs" recently completed its world premiere at the Poly Theater and will start its first stop on the world tour at the Guimet Museum Opera Hall in Paris, France from July 20th to 21st.

The children carefully selected fourteen poems from the numerous and magnificent chapters of the Book of Songs that could reflect their current life and status: "Shuo Shu", "Guan Ju", "Papaya", "Meng", "Little Star" and "Beimen" "Snake", "No Sheep", "Tao Yao", "Jian Jia", "Plucking Wei", "No Clothes", "Deer Ming" and "Logging". The fourteen poems also connect the difficulties and confusions they faced as they grew up: friendship, freedom, dreams, relationships, peace, etc... The children raised questions in creation and found solutions in creation.

"The Book of Songs" is the sixth work of the "Ancient Books and Me" series by qfuntheater Children's Experimental Theater. In the "Ancient Books and Me" series of works, ancient wisdom and young souls cross time and space, and inspiration overlaps and collides, with Chinese Expression is the first principle, rewriting Chinese classical literary stories from a contemporary perspective to reflect and reflect on the lives of today's children.

"The Book of Songs" is produced by Wang Nan, founder of qfuntheater Children's Experimental Theater, and senior producer Pan Yi. Wang Jiabao, art director of qfuntheater Children's Experimental Theater, assists the children in script creation, and director and actor Wang Xuebing serves as director. In the play, children play the games they want to play and the way they want to play, integrating one-person stories, improvisation, puppetry, masks and other forms of dramatic expression. There is also live accompaniment from the Youth Troupe of the Central Traditional Chinese Orchestra and the Xinjiang Oguzi Band. In the overlap of time and space, generations of people are searching for themselves, and the diverse personalities of the children are presented in the beautiful scenery.

In terms of sound, it was led by Liu Xiaobai (14 years old), the children's main music director of qfuntheater Children's Experimental Theater, music creative Liu Nuoyi (14 years old), Fan Xiaofan (14 years old), and AI music producer Xu Xihao (15 years old), completed 15 theatrical soundtracks, and 4 original tracks. Oahuz·Oguz Band, a cross-border group that combines world music and rock music, and the China National Traditional Orchestra Youth Troupe perform live. They use the most representative folk melodies to give the work a unique interpretation method and emotion.
