In 2025, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will witness the birth of a new Marvel movie team - "The Thunderbolts", and I'm sure there is a key villain hidden in this upcoming movie.
Thunderbolts will serve as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of DC's Suicide Squad - the two teams have similarities in the comics - and there were even reports that in early drafts of the film, the MCU team would work together on a Killed on mission.
is a concept full of potential for the Thunderbolts to appear in multiple projects planned by Marvel, with the ability to change the lineup.
The cast of Marvel's "The Thunderbolts" has been announced. MCU movies will bring back breakouts like Wyatt Russell's John Walker, Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova, and Sebastian Stan's veteran Bucky Barnes sexual characters, as well as underrated characters like Hannah Jon-Kamen's Ghost.
It will be interesting to see how characters from different MCU storylines will perform together, and this experience may lead to some exciting dynamics. With a strong cast, and the role that the mysterious character Sentinel will play in the film in his MCU debut, Thunder Force is already in excellent shape, however, I think a surprise appearance could make this movie... More exciting.
Zemo actor's remarks
In "Avengers: Civil War", Baron Zemo made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The character reappeared in 2021's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson had to reluctantly team up with Zemo in Madripoor.
Although there is no official confirmation that Zemo will be part of the cast of Thunderbolts and Baron Zemo's future in the MCU is still undecided, actor Daniel Brühl remains convinced that he will return Baron Zemo returns to the MCU. In an interview, the MCU star discussed the possibility of returning to his role as Zemo.
Brewer was unfazed by Zemo's uncertain fate, admitting: "I'm not dead yet and I'm very confident about coming back." The actor also mentioned that he is a patient man who can wait for the right opportunity. Play as Zemo again.
Considering so many characters have joined the MCU in recent years, it makes sense that Zemo and others would be sidelined for a while and then return.
A theory about Thunderbolts states that Zemo may become the new team leader at the end of the movie, and Brewer's comments may hint at more potential secrets.
Continuing the plot from 8 years ago
I am eager to see Zemo revealed as a surprise character in Thunder Squad. Since his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War, Brewer has established Zemo as one of the MCU's most compelling characters, with the villain becoming one of the series' most successful characters.
Baron Zemo wants revenge on the Avengers for the Sokovia incident in "Avengers 2", in which his family was killed. The character was successful in achieving his mission, dismantling the MCU team so effectively that the Avengers even lost to Thanos in their first encounter with him.
However, in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", Zemo's villain image has been weakened. Granted, the character isn't a "good guy" in any sense, having orchestrated the deaths of the remaining Flag-Smashers while being transported to prison, but Zemo's interactions with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes Showing his immense potential in a team in a morally gray area.
Yes, Thunderbolt is such a project where Zemo can shine, and I believe that if he does appear, he will leave a deeper mark on the MCU.
Zemo's return makes a lot of sense
In the Marvel comics, Zemo has a deep connection to the Thunderbolts. The character is the founder of the team, and Zemo has served as the leader of the Thunderbolts in different versions.
Considering this, and the popularity of Brewer's Zemo, I'm surprised that Marvel chose not to include the character in the movie. Giving Zemo a cameo role, paving the way for a future relationship with the Thunderbolts, could be one of Marvel's plans.
Even though in the MCU, Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, is the one who formed the Thunderbolts, that doesn't mean she will continue to be part of the team leader of.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that Bucky is the leader of the Thunderbolts, and given his connection to Zemo, Bucky and Valentina may break up with the Thunderbolts at the end of the movie Later recruited him.
Zemo will shine on a bigger stage wearing his iconic mask from the comics, and Brewer's comments have me hopeful that he might make a secret appearance in Thunder Force.
