In recent days, Jukoupu Town, Xinshao County has been hit by flash floods. The town's roads, rivers, farmland, water canals, electricity, etc. have been severely damaged, causing many roads interruption, landslides everywhere, and farmland flooded. According to incomplete statistics, there were more than 90 road collapses in the town, 10 road bridges were damaged by water, and 13 roads leading to the village were interrupted; more than 2,000 acres of farmland were flooded, of which more than 300 acres were flooded with sand and gravel; more than 5,000 meters of water channels were washed away. The river channel was extremely damaged. In particular, Hongmiaobian Village, Gaojia'ao Village, which are located in remote mountainous areas, and Tongmu Village, Harmony Village, and Guqiao Village along the river, suffered heavy losses.
In the face of sudden flash floods, the Jukoupu Town party committee, government and villages (communities) took "rain" as an order and acted upon hearing "flood" to fight against floods and minimize disaster losses. Without waiting or relying on each other, they worked together to rebuild their homes. Members of the town party and government team and all cadres immediately went to each joint village (community) to direct and coordinate flood relief and post-disaster reconstruction work. Each village (community) and relevant functional departments promptly organized manpower to carry out emergency repairs of flood-damaged projects to ensure access, water and electricity as quickly as possible, demonstrating the initiative and responsibility of grassroots cadres.

Hongmiaobian Village is located at the foot of Banzi Mountain and is one of the villages most severely affected by the flash flood. That night, ferocious floods carried a large number of boulders and silt, washed away rivers, cut off roads, and caused more than 120 landslides or landslides in the village. All party members, cadres and villagers in the village went all out to fight floods and provide disaster relief, and actively carried out production self-rescue. At the emergency repair site of the flood damage project, the excavators kept running, and the workers and groups worked together. Along the highway, inside and outside the river, there was a busy scene everywhere. The village also gave full play to the role of the Township Council, issued a proposal, and mobilized the Township and all villagers to actively contribute money and efforts to overcome difficulties together.

After the disaster, party members and cadres in Gaojia'ao Village, Tongmu Village, Harmony Village and other villages acted quickly, leading the villagers to actively carry out post-disaster self-rescue, organizing special teams to repair flood-damaged roads, Rivers, clearing branches and debris, removing sand, gravel and silt from farmland, restoring roads and rivers to smooth flow, making every effort to promote post-disaster reconstruction and rebuild a beautiful home.
At present, the heavy rain has not really "ended" yet. Post-disaster reconstruction has just begun, and the task of production self-rescue is arduous and arduous.
